More happiness!

1. My girl continues to be hot like whoa.

2. Matt Damon's movie Green Zone is really just Jason Bourne does Iraq. (No, really it is. It's even directed by Paul Greengrass) BUT. The thought of Jason Bourne in Iraq kind of meshes really hard with Generation Kill and makes me want to write Fake!Jason Bourne/Brad. Or Fake!Jason Bourne/Nate.

3. [livejournal.com profile] thorne_scratch refuses to write a proper GK story just to torment me (I haven't forgotten the Starbucks snippet!), but every now and then she'll write me a tiny fic just to remind me how much better she is than me. Every Goliath Has His David inspired her, specifically the part about Ray being a pirate before he became a guardian. (It was an egg, you had to ask about it). Anyway, this comment!fic just made me crazy happy. I like to share the happy.

4. Also, here are three songs I think will make your life better. I don't have my mp3s at the moment, so you'll have to make due with the videos.

1. V V Brown 'Shark in the Water'
2. The Hours 'Ali in the Jungle'
3. Brett Dennen 'Ain't Gonna Lose You'

You know this all took place in Brad was in service and Nate was doing his save the world thing, which he still is, but you know, he's made more of a life for himself outside of that, which is what was needed before. All that focus makes people kind of tense. Plus, you know with Brad's Do!Not!Want!Rejection and Nate's I Can't Abuse The Trust thinking... you know how they are. And then there's Jason. Now everybody's older and wiser and less into delayed gratification. Jason makes no pretense of his feelings for Nate, which is pretty damn refreshing in Nate's book.

*slurrrrp*

I approve of this. All this, including FYCH.

Green Zone might even be sitter-worthy!

You win a prize for the day, bb.

THIS! This is so them. Especially Nate with his position-of-authority thinking. That shit made him miserable. He would find Jason refreshing. There's some irony there, too, because Brad's a pretty straightforward guy, except when it comes to Nate/rejection. So naturally, Nate finds someone who IS straightforward.

Aww, boys.

ETA: Btw, [livejournal.com profile] thorne_scratch reposted that Starbucks snippet. Which gave me much GLEE! Just in case you hadn't seen.
