FYI

In light of the current "enhancements" (and wow is that debatable) to Live Journal I am stating my preference that you please do not cross-post/repost/lamppost/lampoon (I made a rhyme) the contents and/or comments from my LJ to Twitter and Facebook.

Thanks, folks.

Also, if you have Mozilla and would like to opt out for yourself you can use this Greasemonkey Script to do so. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] anywherebeyond for pointing that out

p.s. Anybody else getting a flashback to Gmail Buzz and wondering where the fuck the "Stop trying to fix what ain't broke and leave us the fuck alone" option on this is?

Thank you for the link to the user script. I'm so sick of every site thinking we want to have every single thing we do be linked together.

Thanks for the heads up and the link to the script.

I've left LJ several messages in their FAQ and Suggestions community requesting that they add an option to disable this for those of us who want privacy. I suggest everyone who isn't a fan of this do the same so they'll have to at least consider it.

Thank you SO much for the script link! Definitely putting that in place. Not cool, LJ >:(

Thanks for this; those ticky boxes underneath the comment box were driving me fucking crazy, not to mention making me nervous as shit.

Yes! (Google has been faily too lately, especially when it comes to the ~new and improved~ image search.)

Is it really that difficult for TPTB to maybe take a vote on shit like this? Or to, you know, tell people in advance? I don't remember this being in the last newsletter. The latest newsletter talks about it, but that was sent out after the changes had been made.

Just ask people what they think. It's not that hard.
