Out of utter curiosity, if I was chained up in your attic (I prefer attics, basements are damp and cold, attics theoretically at least have windows), and I had to write you one story, what would you request? (demand?) Or alternatively, what's something you always hoped I'd write but know is never going to happen?

Inception story with Arthur and Eames stealing PASIV from the army and then keep stealing it from each other until Arthur starts working with Cobb at some point and his PASIV. And Eames is like, NO you can have the damn devise if you need it so much! So Arthur ends up with two PASIVs and no Eames, and it's all resolved during or after Inception job :D

In the never gonna happen category...I'm sure I'm forgetting some awesomesauce idea you threw out in that offhand genius way you have, but I did always want to see that Brad/Nate photojournalism story. I have a basement, with windows and a set of French doors that lead out to a hot tub/sunken deck. My basement is comfort and style!

Hoped you'd write, but probably will never happen: I've always thought about a Pretty Woman AU with Southland, but to be honest I know I can't write it and I've always thought you could *grins*.

Now I've been thinking about it again with Inception, with Arthur as uni student working wherever it is Uni students work, and Eames needs a date/whatever and mistakes Arthur as a Prostitute. I have this image in my head of Arthur being left with an etiquette coach (they end up having a great time) and yelling at Eames back as he's walking away "This isn't Pretty Woman! I'm not Julia Roberts".

You'll be happy to hear that we got the birds out of the attic, and even (I think) all the dead bird bodies, so it's all set for you to move in!

I don't have anything specific, per se, but I would really love to see something heavily plot driven, I think I saw a spy au? Something like that, but maybe not even au. I want to see what twists and turns and surprises I'm sure you're capable of.

And I love the idea of it including a large majority of the team plus maybe Fischer? In some awkward capacity where he's moved on, become successful and because he's still a major corporate player they have to interact with him on some level.

Gotta be honest. If you were chained up in my attic, I would make you write another Brad/Nate story. Anything really (though that photojournalist AU sounds pretty awesome and I wouldn't mind a surgeon/patient AU story). I mean, you ended your GK fic writing on such a high note, I feel kinda bad even mentioning it. However, that being said, I really loved the Messenger. My attic fic would be a story with angst of epic proportions. Just, go for it. Break my heart. It'd be completely fine if you mended it with a happy ending or hurt/comfort, but some of the best love stories don't end that way. I'd just want to give you free reign to see what you could do.

As for fic you would probably never write: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo AU, but Brad is the jaded journalist and Nate is the tattooed, brilliant hacker with a dark past. I'd love to see Nate as the more cynical/damaged of the two; this time he has the tragic backstory.

You know, the only reason I started watching Justified is because you kept talking about Raylan/Brad, and then it never happened. On the one hand, I cant say I mind because, hey, at least Im watching Justified now :D On the other hand, Im curious as to what it would have looked like.

The only thing I want to see in Inception fandom now is where somebody takes the idea of this fic and escalates it into a full on prank war. It would be epic. I want that fic so bad, and nobody has written it :'(

My own attic terrifies me; I haven't been up there since the realtor made me look at it. You can stay in the library/office on the spare futon.

Oh man. See, I would have a really hard time picking one fandom, but my favorite fandoms that you write would be… odd to crossover. (Like, what do Brad Colbert and Michael Phelps have to talk about except where to best find clothes for tall dudes or what lotion is best for slapping on after hours in the water? Though maybe they could have a breath-holding competition, I don't know.) Since you're the queen (or tyrant king, or Exalted Imperial Emperor, or whatever title you're going by) of AU's, it would have to be some kind of grand multi-fandom crossover AU scenario. Or swap their settings. Swimming RPF where they have superpowers and fight crime; everyone in GK going to Hogwarts; the Inception team as Olympic athletes and managed by Ari.

Though unrelated, I thought of you when talking with someone about how Tony Stark would be closely monitoring how many people dressed up as Iron Man for Halloween. And how stoked he'd be the first time someone did a parody porno, or how the first Iron Man vibrator will leave him elated for a week

I'm intrigued by the idea of a Southland/Inception crossover. Maybe Ben and Arthur were friends in college but drifted as they went their separate ways - the LAPD and the military/international mindcrime worlds respectively. Arthur wonders about Ben and thus checks into his background. He is a bit shocked to see that Ben is a police officer and engineers a meet when he is back in LA. Drama ensues.
