Inquiring minds.

Out of utter curiosity, if I was chained up in your attic (I prefer attics, basements are damp and cold, attics theoretically at least have windows), and I had to write you one story, what would you request? (demand?) Or alternatively, what's something you always hoped I'd write but know is never going to happen?

I have an Ari meets the Inception boys story in the docket. It's just being very very contrary.

I TOLD YOU THAT YOU NEEDED TO SEE THAT. [livejournal.com profile] pyrimidine and [livejournal.com profile] figletofvenice have both written something and there is [livejournal.com profile] mark_eduardo, but every time I think about -- the hair you see. I get distracted by Eduardo's hair. HOW COULD MARK GIVE THAT UP? Justin Timberlake is nasty and sketchy, he doesn't love you, Mark! *stomps foot*

I think Mark is fascinated by Eduardo's hair. Like that one time Eduardo fell asleep next to him on the sofa, and his hair was all soft against the side of Mark's face and Mark got the worst hard-on he's ever had in his life. Except for that time in eighth grade when Penelope Haines brushed some dust from him shoulder and he almost fell over in shock. Oh my god, and then he went and jerked off with Eduardo asleep on him. /o\

How did you get me to say that?

Alas, I am not a Sherlock person myself, but I know [livejournal.com profile] green_postit wrote some a while back that was good.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's quite clever. I shall have to think on that one.

I certainly think so. and I'm sure Danny and Rusty agree...

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. :)

I must confess that I have an Ari meets the Inception team story that's been rather stalled, but all this Ari and George talk in this post is sort of reinvigorating the idea.

[identity profile] vulpesvortex.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I have absolute faith in your writing abilities.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I absolutely watch Dexter, but I cannot imagine writing it. It's a rather... peculiar item to work with.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
No one would notice! In fact, if he turned into a vampire, his body temperature might increase a few degrees. Oh my god, would he be a sparkly vampire? ARI WOULD HATE THAT SO MUCH. Mrs. Ari would totally have to remove all the wood in the house so Ari didn't just stab himself in irritation one day.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, Gwen would be an awesome photojournalist. Every town they go to the children just rally around her and Morgana loves it. She takes photos with her phone. They're obviously not the same quality as Gwen's, but she collects them all the same.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
There is a story with Ari and George and the inception team on my docket, I do confess. Not quite this, but there is something.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
You know [livejournal.com profile] romanticalgirl and I used to toss this around. She wrote a story where Trombley ended up training under John and we'd always thought that Brad and John went back to the Corps.

I know... the further into the series I get the more mindfucked I am. But a part of me could totally see re-writing the beginning season, making Brian less completely-batshit-crazy. I'm a dirty person. :p

Also, eck, totally couldn't read if there were any graphic depictions of killing people *shudder*

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 08:09 pm (UTC)(link)
See, and that's what Dexter is all about. I tried to read the books upon which its based and they were so heavily stylized I was like, uh, no, not gonna happen.

How far have you gotten in your viewing?

[identity profile] alethialia.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That...is a really hard question. In the never gonna happen category...I'm sure I'm forgetting some awesomesauce idea you threw out in that offhand genius way you have, but I did always want to see that Brad/Nate photojournalism story. That would've been brilliant (though invariably would've ripped my guts out, let's be honest). Ah, well...

I know, right? She'd be so perfect, and she--I was thinking about how she's very much someone who sees people in the show as well, and that would work really well here. Also I just love them together anywhere, but having it be dangerous and fast but also full of little moments like the one you described, Morgana laughing and taking pictures with her phone, well. It would be a good story. And one you COULD write, judging by other things, but I do recognize that it's not one you WOULD write. A girl can dream, though.

I just started season 3, got to the part where, uh, the DA kills the lawyer lady.

I have not read the book. I am so very very tempted to write an absolutely cracktastic re-write for the fist season, just to get my slash on. /badbadbadperson

Blaise Zabini meets Eames. :D :D :D

Not that I'm already trying to chain you up in my attic, but I'm sure you can make it with style and chic, it would be awesome :D

[identity profile] kristories.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I have a basement, with windows and a set of French doors that lead out to a hot tub/sunken deck. My basement is comfort and style!

Hoped you'd write, but probably will never happen: I've always thought about a Pretty Woman AU with Southland, but to be honest I know I can't write it and I've always thought you could *grins*.

Now I've been thinking about it again with Inception, with Arthur as uni student working wherever it is Uni students work, and Eames needs a date/whatever and mistakes Arthur as a Prostitute. I have this image in my head of Arthur being left with an etiquette coach (they end up having a great time) and yelling at Eames back as he's walking away "This isn't Pretty Woman! I'm not Julia Roberts".

[identity profile] plumtastic.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Attics are cool (esp. if there are flowers there?), but I'm totally down with a belfry.

I spent the last few weeks in the time machine back mooning over Theodore and Blaise and the happy days of yore. If there was anything more from that end, I'd clap for joy, but what exists is gold...like Pony Boy.

[identity profile] elizardbits.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I would very much enjoy a glorious and epic Inception/Gen Kill xover featuring Arthur/Eames and Brad/Nate.

Also, at some point Ray Person should have an embarrassing and confusing dream about riding a unicorn.

[identity profile] vylit.livejournal.com 2010-10-18 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I have never thought of this idea before, but now that you mention it, SO MUCH LOVE I DIE.
