Here Lemming Lemming!

I have been working on something incessantly for the last twelve hours. This ain't it.

Their love is so tragic. Written for Jess's 100-Word Challenge

10 Feet to Die By

“You can’t just leave, Lex.”

Ten feet to the front door

“It’s called walking away, Clark.”

Nine.

“I love you.”

Eight.

“That’s emotional blackmail.”

Seven.

“I learned from the best.”

Six.

“Clark.”

Five.

“Stay.”

Four.

“Why?”

Three.

“It’s your penthouse.”

Two.

“It’s your home.”

One and a half.

“No, it’s not. It never has been.”

One.

“Then why did you stay?”

Two-thirds.

“You were here. There’s no point in me being here if you’re not.”

One half.

“So I should just stay here? With you?”

No space left.

“That’s what I was trying to say in the first place.”

I skipped a line by mistake and thought it ended badly! Aaaargh. I thought you were pulling the meanest trick *ever*, sneaking in a break up among all the makeups. Oh the trauma. But I should have had faith. Well done, as always.
