Thoughts on RPS
Argument: It’s illegal!
Response: So is jaywalking
Argument: It’s immoral!
Response: So is lying on your taxes
Argument: It’s blasphemous!
Response: Only if you’re writing porn involving Jesus. (And okay, so not my thing)
Argument: It’s wrong!
Response: Apparently, so is eating red meat, smoking and drinking anything stronger than milk. It all depends on your POV. Did someone die and make you Lady Justice?
Argument: You wouldn’t like it done to you, would you?
Response: I like a lot of things done to me. You should ask before you assume.
Argument: It’s a violation of personal privacy.
Response: I’m not looking through someone’s rubbish. I’m not hacking anyone’s personal files. I’m not making anyone out to be a bloody murderer, thank you very much.
Argument: I bet (insert subject here) would be disgusted!
Response: Well then I guess it’s a good thing I’m not making him read it.
Argument: You’re going to hell!
Response: Well yes, but that was decided long before I got into this.
*If RPS is not your thing, that is fine. I can understand and respect that. It's your preogative and more power to you. I don't foist my opinions on people who don't actively solicit them. However, do not insinuate that I'm a bad person simply because my tastes are different from yours.

Any lingering guilt I have will be pushed away when I come back and read this. Even though my RPS is dirty and wrong, it's the good kind of dirty and wrong.

Milk is actually not good for you unless you're drinking the milk of your own species. Just sayin', homes.
Have a good weekend. Try to get really high. Yes. *g*

that's pretty much it.

I just love it when people I don't know make judgments about me based on their perceptions of what I like.

Heh. I'm cool with that. There probably is no porn in this persons version of heaven and that is not a place I *ever* want to be. *g*

People lie on their taxes?
*blinks again*
I've been told since I was a child that I was going to hell, or at best to purgatory, because of my spiritual preferences. My response: if there's no gorgeous natural scenery, no orgasms or no chocolate in heaven, I don't want to go.
*raises glass to tolerance of different views, including her own "anti-RP but don't bother the RPers about it" one*
Here's to a wonderful afterlife!
sigh.

Actually, your first argument is wrong. RPS isn't illegal. [It's far more legal than regular fic, that's for sure.] Reason: The people being written about are public figures. More importantly, they're public figures who put themselves in the limelight. Due to the clearly fictional nature of the pieces written, they can't even claim libel/slander and win a case since no reasonable person would believe the actions taken were real.
