We're a happy family.

So... ::rubs hands together::

a. Theodore is back from holiday, and we've, uh, had some talks. There won't be two more sections of Thousandth Man, there will only be one.

b. Comm reccs of the day: [livejournal.com profile] oceanfic for your Ocean's 11 fic needs (there's some really great stuff here), [livejournal.com profile] aurgasm* for music and [livejournal.com profile] pimpicons** for well, icons WTF, can't you read?

c. [livejournal.com profile] nifra_idril proclaimed today Tell Someone You Heart Them Day and I was all, 'well, sheeet, are you lot feeling under-appreciated or summat?' Cos you know I think you're all fabulous, really. If you're feeling needy, drop me a comment and I will either profess my adoration or write you a wee drabbley thing. I think. Wait, this is how I wound up writing 45 drabbles two years ago. Uh, no. Okay, first twelve people get love or a drabble.

Good Omens 1, 2; Smallville 1; Greek Mythology 1; This Life 1; Lost 1; Harry Potter 1 (H/D); due South 1

d. So, why didn't anybody tell me about 24 before? Damn, talk about cracktastic. What's the Jack/Ronnie story?

e. Cookies for all the people who know what brilliant show [livejournal.com profile] tarar based my default icon on. I was going to write some HP porn, but now I don't know. Somebody needs to get laid. Jesus, I just thought about Crowley trying to explain to Aziraphale why lust is considered a sin and then Aziraphale was all 'you don't hear people screaming Satan when they orgasm, do you?'*** It was v funny in my head at any rate.

*ding ding, [livejournal.com profile] tarar, [livejournal.com profile] applyingmyself and [livejournal.com profile] qe2

**gacked from the lovely [livejournal.com profile] silverakira

***Not that Aziraphale had much experience with what humans shouted when they climaxed, but he'd been around for a long time and he'd read a few tawdry romance novels in his day. None of them by Barbara Cartland though.

Harry bleeding Potter

One should never click before inserting the drabble. Ahem.

There was clearly something with wrong Potter. No one else seemed to see it except Draco, or rather no one else seemed willing to admit that they were seeing it except Draco, but Draco was nothing if not attentive to Potter and he knew something was off when Potter collapsed, passed out, fainted, bloody well swooned in Potions.

If Potter had been partnering Longbottom it would've made more sense, or sense full stop, but they weren't even doing anything remotely dangerous and then Potter just passed out and chaos ensued.

The Weasel did nothing remotely helpful, instead he threatened people with his wand as though somebody had had the good-sense to off Potter with a potion, and the mudblood, well, of course she would go over all girl-like with her shrieking and accusations, but at least she tried to wake Potter up.

Of course it was Professor Snape who reluctantly summoned a bit of Pepper Up Potion to get Potter off the ground, but was it was established that Potter hadn't been poisoned everyone went about their business as though nothing had happened at all. But Draco, Draco wasn't fooled. Something was very wrong, if Potter wasn't even fit for class however would Draco be able to kill him during the war?

You've got to be kidding me. That ain't a drabble! That's the beginning of a fic!

::prods fic opening::

::listens to it squeal::

Hmmm.

You? Of no help. Plus I don't write that pairing anymore. Of course I don't seem to be writing any HP anymore, but it goes in waves with me, I've noticed that. Also, the Draco in your icon looks like he's related to Emma Watson. Same profile.

have i ever been of help? ;)

also, i'm going to watch the OC tonight for the first time on television. it's all very exciting.

Dude, you're watching the OC tonight. Oh please tell me you've seen season 1 though, because it's really much better than this. Also, yaye :D

Also have you heard me babbling about my Garry Lightbody/Neville/Cillian/Theodore ideas? Ah, music videos.

Re: Harry bleeding Potter

[identity profile] circe-tigana.livejournal.com 2005-01-14 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[livejournal.com profile] lalejandra, [livejournal.com profile] anniesj, [livejournal.com profile] annakovsky, and [livejournal.com profile] swmbo forcefed me about seven episodes from Season 1 during our New Years fun.

So I know who everyone is, even if I don't know what's going on.

::crushes on Seth hardcore::

Also, yes. Of course I saw your babbling. Of course my heart leapt into my throat. I thought I'd play coy for once though. You can take it as a given I'm willing to beg, borrow, and/or steal to see something like Neville wandering the streets of London looking for Theodore. His take on The Weight.

But, no. COY.

::coy::

Not the fish koi kind, either.

Yes, this is clearly you being coy :D and honestly, Snow Patrol* have done more for TM-verse than any other band, except perhaps for Turin Brakes. Have you discovered them, do I need to indoctrinate you there as well? They're adorable Gale and Olly, you know, met at school.

*Have you seen the videos for Run and Chocolate? You must see the videos really.

Dude. I've been practicing the coy. And you shoot me down. That's cold, man, real harsh ;)

Also, no never heard Turin Brakes. Please edumacate me STAT. Also, never seen those videos. This is a shard of regretful ice in my heart. Also, Seth Cohen.

Snow Patrol (http://www.snowpatrol.net): Four upstanding Irish boys who met while at uni in Scotland in 1994. Have been around for quite some time (see, Songs for Polar Bears (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000G6O4/qid=1105666544/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/702-9163677-4312845) released in 98), but have finally broken the U.S. market with their gorgeous Final Straw (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001MZ7ZK/qid=1105666697/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/702-9163677-4312845). See singles, Run and Chocolate. Have been heralded as 2004's Coldplay, but I disagree; I think it sells them short. Are also enjoyed for their quirky song titles: ex. LP When it's all Over we Still have to Clear Up (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000059N1Z/qid=1105666544/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/702-9163677-4312845). Singer, Gary lLightbody also has a side project, the Reindeer Section (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006BTA7/qid=1105666815/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/702-9163677-4312845), which is also brilliant.

Turin Brakes (http://www.turinbrakes.com/), another group of UK singer/songwriters (sue me, I know what I like) Gale and Olly, aren't just adorable, but really they're adorable. Also, they went to school together (http://www.turinbrakes.co.uk/history-cartoon.html) and have been playing together longer than uh, some people have been alive. Their first LP was The Optimist LP (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000594XF/qid=1105666870/sr=2-3/ref=sr_2_1_3/702-9163677-4312845) but it's with their 2003 LP Ether Song (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008GQC6/qid=1105667155/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-0454683-9249651?v=glance&s=music&n=507846) that they're realling winning people over, and for the record, the video for Long Distance? Stellar. Melodic and heartfelt, much in that Elbow and Alexi Murdoch vein.

I own the Final Straw album. Love Snow Patrol, just haven't seen the vids. I didn't know their history though, very cool.
