So... ::rubs hands together::

a. Theodore is back from holiday, and we've, uh, had some talks. There won't be two more sections of Thousandth Man, there will only be one.

b. Comm reccs of the day: [livejournal.com profile] oceanfic for your Ocean's 11 fic needs (there's some really great stuff here), [livejournal.com profile] aurgasm* for music and [livejournal.com profile] pimpicons** for well, icons WTF, can't you read?

c. [livejournal.com profile] nifra_idril proclaimed today Tell Someone You Heart Them Day and I was all, 'well, sheeet, are you lot feeling under-appreciated or summat?' Cos you know I think you're all fabulous, really. If you're feeling needy, drop me a comment and I will either profess my adoration or write you a wee drabbley thing. I think. Wait, this is how I wound up writing 45 drabbles two years ago. Uh, no. Okay, first twelve people get love or a drabble.

Good Omens 1, 2; Smallville 1; Greek Mythology 1; This Life 1; Lost 1; Harry Potter 1 (H/D); due South 1

d. So, why didn't anybody tell me about 24 before? Damn, talk about cracktastic. What's the Jack/Ronnie story?

e. Cookies for all the people who know what brilliant show [livejournal.com profile] tarar based my default icon on. I was going to write some HP porn, but now I don't know. Somebody needs to get laid. Jesus, I just thought about Crowley trying to explain to Aziraphale why lust is considered a sin and then Aziraphale was all 'you don't hear people screaming Satan when they orgasm, do you?'*** It was v funny in my head at any rate.

***Not that Aziraphale had much experience with what humans shouted when they climaxed, but he'd been around for a long time and he'd read a few tawdry romance novels in his day. None of them by Barbara Cartland though.

At it's inception sex was a good and pure thing, so Aziraphale suspects that it was humans that made it tawdry and degrading. It's also entirely possibly that the tawdry and degrading portions are what make sex so interesting, but as Aziraphale is asexual (1) this is really of no concern to him. (2)

(1) Asexual only as far as his being homosexual.
(2) No concern only as far his inability to participate. Angels and humans are not mean to interact sexually together as angels are not suceptible to such thing as lust. Except occasionally, and then only when scones are involved. This not not, however, preclude angel and demon interaction.

For you, I will do both. a) You are fabulously talented, and I feel horribly remiss for not telling you all the time how enamoured I am of your writing. I am also truly touched by the time and effort and love you have for the Smallville fandom. It takes a person with a great heart to do what you do, and I am in awe.

b) Despite whatever nonsense his father believes and promotes, Lex likes to think of himself as a rock of emotional stoicism. He is a fortress, impenetrable and impervious to pain and heartache and other vile things that bring lesser men down -- except there are little things that make Lex feel weak and human. Like the way Clark Kent smiles at him when Lex enters the room or the way Lex's heart quivers in his chest when Clark looks at him over his shoulder to make sure that Lex is by his side.

Lex has always thought that it's the big things that make the man, but now he's not so certain, because it's all the little things about Clark Kent that are stealing his heart.

Jason loved her once; Medea knows this. She knows that he revelled in her beauty and basked in the love that she gave him. She sacrificed for him: her father, her brother, kings, princess, no one was more worthy than him, and she knows. She has to know that she was once important to him; that she was once his world. She gave him children. She gave him a home and a hearth and children; she worshipped him. There was nothing she would not have done for him, but apparently that was not enough. Apparently he loved her, but he didn't love her *enough*. And so instead he betrayed her. And now he must pay.

She is sorry for the children, but she wants him to feel her pain.

Harry bleeding Potter

Date: 2005-01-12 12:55 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com
One should never click before inserting the drabble. Ahem.

There was clearly something with wrong Potter. No one else seemed to see it except Draco, or rather no one else seemed willing to admit that they were seeing it except Draco, but Draco was nothing if not attentive to Potter and he knew something was off when Potter collapsed, passed out, fainted, bloody well swooned in Potions.

If Potter had been partnering Longbottom it would've made more sense, or sense full stop, but they weren't even doing anything remotely dangerous and then Potter just passed out and chaos ensued.

The Weasel did nothing remotely helpful, instead he threatened people with his wand as though somebody had had the good-sense to off Potter with a potion, and the mudblood, well, of course she would go over all girl-like with her shrieking and accusations, but at least she tried to wake Potter up.

Of course it was Professor Snape who reluctantly summoned a bit of Pepper Up Potion to get Potter off the ground, but was it was established that Potter hadn't been poisoned everyone went about their business as though nothing had happened at all. But Draco, Draco wasn't fooled. Something was very wrong, if Potter wasn't even fit for class however would Draco be able to kill him during the war?

Fraser likes to lick things; Ray knows this, but he draws the line at Fraser licking his glasses. Why couldn't Fraser have licked something helpful, like a popsicle or snow, or hell, him? It's not polite to snatch things, Ray learned that in elementary school, but that's just -- that's gross.

"Fraser. I know what you did, but please tell me you just didn't do what I think you just did to my glasses."

"It's only a little saliva, Ray, and I did it in order to--"

Ray held his glasses between gloved fingers with disgust. "I do not care why you did what you did, just don't do it again."

Fraser rubbed his eyebrow, but Ray wasn't letting him off that easily. "Ray, I think that if you would just let me explain--"

"You're a freak, you know that? I mean here we are, trapped out east of Bumblefuck and you just need something to lick so bad that you lick my glasses? Fraser, that's not buddies."

"Ray, the moisture was simply to prevent the lenses from fogging --"

Fraser was talking, but Ray wasn't listening, because his glasses had Fraser!spit on'em and that was just not cool at all. What had Ray ever done to Fraser ot cause that. He'd been his partner; he'd come to look for Franklin's frickin hand. He's eaten pemmican and oats and all kinds of healthy stuff, and this was the thanks he got? "If you were so interested in lickin' something you coulda licked me. I wouldn't've minded that, but you licked my glasses, Fraser, and I gotta put those on and now -- now you didn't hear me say any of that."

Fraser blinked, and then he licked his bottom lip. And Ray swallowed.

Well, he'd asked for it.
