Put me in the car... and drive so far...

Why did I not know that Ewan McGregor plays the guitar? I Jamie Ryan plays the guitar! Viggo plays the guitar. This is the bestest bonding item EVAH!

What local paper is this? Us Weekly?

Nope. The NY Daily News. In an article talking about entertainers taking non-Hollywood jobs:

Pitt, meanwhile, is super-sizing his Home Depot skills: He has joined world-renowned architect Frank Gehry's design team. The buff architecture buff is helping design a penthouse and restaurant in a Gehry project in southern England. Pitt has even hunkered down and learned computer-aided architectural design (CAD), which we hear is a thousand times more boring than watching "Meet Joe Black" for three weeks straight.

Scoff if you will, skeptics, but these seem to be real jobs. The assignment is too risky for [Sean] Penn's love of journalism to be a celebrity pose. Pitt's love of buildings isn't just a hobby.

"I'm really into architecture, structure and design," Pitt told Vanity Fair last year. "Give me anything, and I'll design it. I'm a bit nutty with it."

Perhaps Hayden Christensen, who's also thinking about ditching acting and picking up a T-square, could be his first intern. Imagine, Achilles asking Darth Vader to go sharpen his pencil.

Okay, seriously, which one of you guys works for the Daily News? C'mon fess up. We work every other place on the planet, why not there too?

Hehe, I bet the "Jacob E. Osterhout" that wrote it is a lurker, paying you homage. :D
