I've been dying to show off this icon for days (courtesy of abbycadabra), but I thought it would help to have something a bit more substantive to accompany it. So. I'm getting ready to go on holiday for a bit, and my ability to write has already departed for said destination. I'd planned to just be off, but I saw this in musesfool's LJ and thought I might give it a go:

Luna makes lots of people uncomfortable; they can just deal with it, even Harry Potter. She carries on because she has a point; most people don't. "Malfoy is a water baby, though, if you go with him you'll drown."

It's like that line in that really bad western that Jamie can't remember right now, but of all the bars, in all the cities, in all the places in the entire fucking hemisphere why did Julian have to come into this one?

"Don't everyone be excited to see me at once."

Julian's just as droll as ever, and Jamie just sighs. "I thought we agreed that you would stay on your side of the globe."

Julian's sigh makes Jamie's toes curl and he prays that Ian had problems finding both his sneakers tonight.

"Is this your way of saying you're not happy to see me, Jamie? I think I'm quite hurt, do you treat all your exes this way?"

Oh god. This...is amazing. I've just read and reread it about 100 times, and now I'm sitting here, blown away. You captured so much of Luna, of Harry, of Harry and Draco. Her advice to Harry makes my heart ache.
