I've been dying to show off this icon for days (courtesy of abbycadabra), but I thought it would help to have something a bit more substantive to accompany it. So. I'm getting ready to go on holiday for a bit, and my ability to write has already departed for said destination. I'd planned to just be off, but I saw this in musesfool's LJ and thought I might give it a go:

Fandoms availabile are as follows: Harry Potter, Smallville, The 4400, BSG, Spider-Man 2, X2, Lost, due South, Ocean's 11 & 12 and whatever else you've seen me write in that I've forgotten now.

Harry/Luna, water.

She finds him sitting by himself, which to her, is no big surprise; she doesn't think he's very good with people at all. "You're a earth baby," she says firmly, ignoring the discomfort she can feel radiating off him in waves. "I can tell by your eyes."

Luna makes lots of people uncomfortable; they can just deal with it, even Harry Potter. She carries on because she has a point; most people don't. "Malfoy is a water baby, though, if you go with him you'll drown."

Oh god. This...is amazing. I've just read and reread it about 100 times, and now I'm sitting here, blown away. You captured so much of Luna, of Harry, of Harry and Draco. Her advice to Harry makes my heart ache.
