Desperate times and all that.

I have no words to describe my boredom right now. I have no words to describe anything. I'm at the stalemate, and I'm tempted to do that Give me a prompt and I'll write you a two-line story for it.

Yeah, alright, hit me. First fifteen in the door get the prize.* Anything I've already written before is game, no Hermione. Look, I'll even show you how it goes. Example: Request: SGA, Sheppard/McKay (which, um, you could request too even though I don't watch the show)

"So, McKay, what's all this UST business?" Sheppard did that thing he did with his mouth when he was trying to play smart. Rodney wasn’t fooled. "Is it a new strand of the ATA gene?"

"It stands for Unresolved Sexual Tension, Major."

"Lieutenant Colonel."

"Please," Rodney scoffed. "With all this tension I could call you Susan, and you wouldn't care."

"What tension?"

"The sexual tension between us."

"What sexual tension between us?"

"See, that's why it's unresolved! Because you can't admit it's there!"*

*If you're late, you might be able to bribe me with music. I'm partial to Eric B and Rakim, Tom Jones, New Edition, Doug E Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew.

***Okay, that was about ten lines too long, but [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma is feeling poorly, so I'm being nice.

Ah, I'm having so much fun reading all these snippets!

[identity profile] zoetrope.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
*gasp!* You're writing SGA? And when I've just watched a three hour marathon of BSG?! It's like the world has turned on its head...!

[identity profile] sorcha-feanor.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
heeeeeeee...loff it!!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
BSG! BSG! BSG! I only wrote SGA because people won't stop talking about it and manip'ing it and there's nothing else to read! - and no one is writing anything else, anywhere in the world. I was lost in the desert! *pouts and points at all guilty partys like zoetrope*

I'd much rather have Lee/Helo/Chief/Kara anyday, but nobody's working with me here. Just saying. *sulks*

[identity profile] zoetrope.livejournal.com 2006-01-07 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
*feels suitably guilty*

Though to a certain extent I feel like BSG is so well-crafted and complex that it doesn't require fan participation to flesh it out - at least, not in the way that SGA does. *pets poor silly SGA*

I feel I get all that I need, simply by watching the show - a rare thing indeed.

Having said that, I don't think there can ever be too much Kara in the world, so yeah, I'm sure I shall start giving forth at some point!

This is beautiful and light and very depressing if you know what happened. Because its so *right* for the book/movie. This was brilliant.

Halarious and beautiful, and very spot on, as is anything you write for KC. Loved this.

Mondays are long. The first day after the week end always makes Sirius cranky, and Sirius doesn't tend to *do* cranky well at all. Remus just ignores him and lets him whinge. Tuesdays, if at all possible, are worse than Mondays. Sirius doesn't even have the memory of the weekend at this point -- his memory is notoriously short about these things. Remus likes Tuesdays because they have Charms. Sirius just squirms. The weekend is too far in either direction at this point. It's all bollocks. Wednesday are marginally better, because of late Quidditch practise. James laughs because Sirius carries his broomstick to every class. Remus just shakes his head and goes back to his books. Thursdays are good, because they're the day before Friday. And then it's Friday again, and Sirius is happy, because the weekend means that he can lie-in in Remus' bed and pretend that all this school business is just a lark.

Alas my darling, my entire desire to watch Prison Break started and ended with Blaise. He's on it, but I cannae watch as it makes me all tense. I just keep thinking Blaise!Blaise!Blaise. Right, everwood was it?

Bright is a good driver, a fantastic driver. He has to be a better driver than the city boy, because Ephram just isn't cut out for driving at all. He's from frigging New York, and everyone knows that nobody drives in New York. Bright's seen the movies, and he tells Ephram this every chance he gets. And since they're driving cross country, Bright gets to tell him this a lot. He tells Ephram his driving sucks in the flats of Kansas and the cornfields of Iowa, he tells Ephram this at gas stations and really cheap motels. Bright tells Ephram this as much as possible, because anything has to be better than begging Ephram to turn the U-Haul around and take then them home. Anything has to be better than Bright asking Ephram not to leave him once again, so instead Bright bitches about Ephram's driving and Ephram, well, he just smiles and tells Bright to shut up.

Woo! You rock hardcore. That is so very much the truth of Pullo, and as much as it makes Vorenus crazy, he wouldn't want it any other way.

Okay, I am loving this mp3. Who is this? Where can I get more? It has no name! I will pimp it if I like more, do you get a percentage?

[identity profile] bunglegirl.livejournal.com 2006-01-09 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
The band is called "What Made Milwaukee Famous" and I saw it on an email list I get from Insound.com. I did a little sesarch for some online MP3s because I liked the name. I have two more that I found. I'll send them. The one I sent you is my favorite though.
