Munchkins,

I require music. Help me out?

* Kelis - Caught Out There
* M.I.A. - Galang
* George Clinton & P Funk - Atomic Dog
* Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
* Gorillaz - Bill Murray
* Mawglee - Any song that's not 'Dreaming' (I already have that one)
* Any live Radiohead, Verve, Gomez, Elbow or Zero 7
* Some classical would be nice too, but I only know what [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis gives me, which is mainly Schubert and Chopin. Oh, and I like Philip Glass. I think. *shrugs*

Ta,
Me

ETA: I have everything! I adore you all.

*goes off to listen to George Clinton*

Classical piece from Bend It Like Beckham (http://s24.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2ZMGR1EBTROB625CHYGOQ7L7XT)

I'll see what else I can find...

Black Hole Sun should be on it's way to your lj e-mail.

Here's Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun (http://s17.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1VOO42EWYOVT32PBBEQN3RV0UB).

Also, my favorite cello piece... I wouldn't be surprised if it was familiar from tons of movie soundtracks, I know it was in Music of the Heart and You Can Count On Me off the top of my head, so it's definitely popular. This part is just the prelude, but there are numerous other parts (movements) to this particular suite.

J.S. Bach - Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major: Prelude (http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=26LG71L9D31TU1L0BCM6G1PU8O)

Any particular live Radiohead songs you'd like ? I've got lots on my hard-drive somewhere.

[identity profile] jonem.livejournal.com 2006-02-06 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm. I can help with some classical.

Puccini - Musetta's Waltz, from La Boheme (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=34NL7ISKZNYUM32EXSFMRZWR60).

My tastes are somewhat mainstream, but I like that one.

[identity profile] jennifus.livejournal.com 2006-02-07 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
...I. Um. Stole some of the things people gave you. Hee.

But! In return, I can offer you... absolutely nothing that you asked for. Um... Bowie? Weezer? Miscellany?

my favorite one-two punch from zero 7: home (http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0JGCPVRMCCOVX1ZBZKQX7IT49P) and somersault (http://s38.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=30VQKNPFWZBLC08UQ5CVMCYCO8)

mwah!

Since I snag music out of the comments here so often, I thought I'd give back:

Lamentation of Jeremiah (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1V6E21ZE2VB6E3N7F2XHXMC2DQ) (recording of a choir I was in)

Erlkonig by Schubert (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0W45EJBJYEJM72OVVNUL99UO94) (I adore the opening piano line on this.)

Prelude to Tristan und Isolde by Wagner (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=30CB80VRJ1NE4171FYGHXHI24L) (from the opera, not from the movie)

Le Sacre du Printemps Part 1: The dance of the young girls by Stravinsky (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2BF3ERSGGHSXZ1R4MRCSLEA1UO) (remember the bit with the dinosaurs and all in Fantasia? That was Le Sacre du Printemps.)

[identity profile] nippa56.livejournal.com 2006-02-07 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
philip glass - candyman. (http://s32.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1GCWV7XCMIF1436GWOFEXA6U1V)

i also have many a classical type music. eric satie, zola van, samuel barber, andre rieu, sergei rachmaninov, schbert as well as scores from films and tv shows (like buffy/angel [i'm much with the christophe beck love], the village and even casper). i can upload as many as you'd like, but i'm on dial-up at the mo, so if you can stand the waiting i don't mind the up loading. :)

Brahms - Hungarian Dances #5 (http://s17.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0GX602ROO3N753NUT883JJ7ZKO)

Sibelius - Finlandia (http://s17.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3GHET3QCOB0YA07AWXPGFUDKU0)

Okay, bugger doing it via YSI - it'll take too long. I've set up a folder, here (http://oxoniensis-art.com/cm/), and I'm uploading a whole load of random classical music (Bartok, Nyman, Liszt, William Walton, Handel, Nielson, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Stravinsky, Debussy, Bruch, Mendelssohn, Copland, Faure, Rimski-Korsakov, John Cage, Bach, Khachaturian etc). Anyone's welcome to help themselves - they should all be up in a couple of hours or so, and I'll take the folder down in a day or two. And now I'm off to bed. Enjoy!

And look, another Izzie icon! *g*

Radiohead - A Punch-up At a Wedding (live) (http://s52.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2E2XWHI5BVE6B3B92Z69IJ1GZI)

I'm usually and eviiiiil TROLL, but I've stolen acquired so much music from you, I figured that I might as well give back in your time of need. Though it doesn't hurt that this has been the only time I've actually had the music you're requesting! ;D

Audioslave - Blackhole Sun (live) (http://s49.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1V3IGTM2AI77Y1VV3EI8PB9KGM) You know, I think I originally got this one from you! I give it back, in case it didn't survive the Great Computer Crash.
Faure - Sicilienne (http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2QNAZC69KU2XH31QV2ZDQC80QR) This is the last movement of a piece I can't remember the name of. Sorry!
Saint-Saen - Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah (http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2A0PAOUBO88J82BI6YBLK2609R)
Berlioz - Le damnation de Faust, Op. 24 (http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=15KJNH99HUEYZ3UYC0Z1BL7Z7V)
John Williams - Theme from ET (http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=19ACBJ9HTGC2I04K95EOKVXJ5D)
Leonard Bernstein - Candide Overture (http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3236I6FJPJ6821MPQPJN30641P)
The String Quartet Tribute to Radiohead - No Surprises (http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2DX4EHJIZJ0BQ2GWX5HUXCT4LY) Actually, I'm not sure if that is labeled properly. I have no clue how it got onto my computer, and since I've never heard No Surprises, I can't compare. Either way, it's a v. pretty string piece.

And now I must go hide for another six months. Enjoy!!!

Whore! What have I told you about this? You don't listen. I was so bored this afternoon and I almost asked you if you wanted music but then I was like 'Nah, I need to quit bugging her with that shit' and then went home instead to be bored some more and clean the kitchen and I come back to find other people doing my job again LOL

Live Verve - Neon Wilderness (http://s30.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3LVZBT4TDB5CX2OFZZ9GUZLYRP) and Sonnet (http://s30.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0O3ZAVK5YUCD33HWNYXE62VZ86)

I know people have given you Black Hole Sun as done by Chris Cornell in various incarnations, but I can guarantee that you do not have this version (http://www.spicedrum.net/mixedmedia/music/BlackHoleSun_SteveAndEdie.mp3).

[identity profile] beuchat.livejournal.com 2006-02-07 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
I’m not so sure where I got those from. It might be possible that I downloaded them from a link you provided in the first place and this sadly just proves to be an exercise in futility. So if that should be the case, I’m sorry in advance and will try to hook you up with something else once I’m home.

So here you go:
Everything in it’s right place (live) (http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1LBAX8G6YXQ7L0OEQJQ93AIUET)
Creep acoustic (http://s64.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3G1Z179TOMK9C1AD7BMN7CDS86)

Both Radiohead, obviously :)

Radiohead - Like Spinning Plates (live) (http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=30SZ5SGEXAB9X3EAKTTTT7H5NB). This is probably my favourite Radiohead track - I think the live version is far superior to the album version.

Radiohead - Sail To The Moon (live) (http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2LX2AZ4I445M211G04QSN0OQDJ) This one's not great quality, especially the start, but it's not too bad.

Radiohead - 2 + 2 = 5 (live) (http://s50.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=18AOB05TRNKL20CYSIIY871XLJ) I'd forgotten I had this as an mp3.

you say you have everything but since someone uploaded one of the String Tribute to Radiohead songs, I thought I'd send along a zip file (http://s46.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=385N6R2FQPBHR0WSVGPIPX4MNT) that includes the string versions of Exit Music (For A Film), Let Down, Karma Police, Climbing Up the Walls, and Lucky :)
