For everyone who discovered Regina Spektor through the breath-taking brilliance of lim's SGA video This is How it Works, you might potentially be interested in Regina's latest video Fidelity, and I won't even hate (much) because I'd been pimping Regina for two years and nobody was listening. Please note: that even if you're not into the SGA fandom this video is *highly* recommended by me just for the artistry.

Also, Joshua Scott Jones that one artist that I told you all about that one time that was so new he only had one song recorded (Clang)? Yeah, well, see what bitching gets you? A whole eight-song podcast** courtesy of the Hardcore Troubadour ladies.

That, people, is progress.

Random gossip of the day: Supposedly X17 got Suri pictures, but all I see is people looking like Madame Tussauds' replicas, and damn, but it makes me think of The Liberation of Katie Holmes, which uh, yeah, now that's some crack right there.

Thanks for the podcast link! I don't know anything about Joshua Scott Jones, but there can never be too many "Hallelujah" covers, and this one's beautiful.

Josh is very new, so one day you can ~~brag~~ tell everyone about the first recording he made in someone's living room :)

I can barely tell that the 'woman' in the picture is Katie Holmes, and yet I'm supposed to believe that the baby a) was born of the loins of the TomKat, or (more to the point) b) is real and isn't just a doll specially designed by the Pleasant Company? Hmm. Yeah. NOT BUYING IT.

The video is being a bitch to load, but Fidelity is probably my second favorite track on the album after Samson. It's one of those songs that has already reached an embarassingly high playcount on iTunes.

I have so many different Regina songs from so many different EPs and LPs that I find myself alternating regularly. Right now 'On the Radio' has pride of place just because of the SGA video, but 'Us' is always huge with me as is 'Oedpius' and 'Chemo Limo'. As for the Suri thing, whomever that is at the window looks hella miserable. I mean prisoner much?

I listened to you about Regina Spektor. I have learned it's better not to resist your music pimpage, because you're always right about music. (Although lord knows there are times when I'm tempted, because - seriously, podcast? Don't wanna. They always sound weird.) You have a gift or something.

You should tell people about this gift of yours upfront, so they don't waste a lot of time saying, "But - isn't that, like, hip-hop or something? Ew. Also, this woman is sadly obsessed with some guy named Jeff."

Okay, I am dully mollified now. I was all 'Is nobody listening? Then who is downloading all this music? WTF! I am screaming in the void!' Ahem. I'll take my sedative now.

As for the podcast, it's one of those things. I only picked up this one because it's done by a friend, and the only podcast I ever listen to is KCRW, because I trust them. For most the sound is like they're in a bubble. Underwater.

dude, i downloaded it my iPod after viewing it for the first time. now it's a masochistic obsession, worsened by the fact that, well, it's on my iPod and i can ~~obsessively obsess about~~ watch it anytime, anywhere, until the iPod's battery empties.

THANK-YOU! I've only recently started watching fanvids (Because I live under a rock. Um. It's warm here.) and an SGA vid set to a Regina Spektor song? All over that. Except YSI wouldn't let me be. I even logged in and it would still not give it up. ::baps YSI::

Thanks for the link - I've been a Regina fan for a few years, though I haven't had a chance to get the new album yet. The bass lines on 11:11 are really fun to play. :D

Now if only someone would do a Simon Tam vid to 'Poor Little Rich Boy'!
