"In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, come again?"

This is what I thought about last night's Heroes 'Five Years Past', or whatever it was called.

Nathan was dead?

THEY KILLED NATHAN?!!!

Well, I knew something was wrong, b/c that sure as hell wasn't Nathan because he would never have let Peter go away – no matter what they fought about – and bad Peter for not realizing something was dead wrong when Nathan wasn't harassing him every five seconds -- but, uh, THEY KILLED NATHAN.

If they kill Nathan -- I will stop watching. That's not a threat, that's just the truth. Even though Adrian Pasdar was rocking those suits last night and it was never a better time to be a White House Intern (PREACH!).

It was nice to see Jim Profit in the White House, yo, seriously. Did I mention the suits?

Also? Okay, Peter with a scar and dressing all hotass? Whoooooooooooo boy.

No, really, whoooo boy. And I mean that in all the best possible, "here let me channel a little Neo from The Matrix and some Italian mob movie here in my tacky STRIP CLUB!" way. I would talk to K about this, but her head won't stop spinning around her neck and she might get pea soup on me.

As for Mohinder well, it's like I told [livejournal.com profile] antheia:

Dude, Mohinder has Petrelli-fever. He's totally their Marilyn Monroe. Maybe marginally smarter, but not by much.

Seriously though, Peter was SMOKING last night, I was like, Uhhhhhhh, there is NO WAY Nathan would have let that out the house.

Sylar as Mystique running the White House was marginally interesting -- it would have been way more interesting if it actually WAS Mystique though, for reals.

Also, you know my favorite part was when Sylar killed Claire. For reals.

I clapped.

A lot.

And for a long time.

Some other stuff happened, the show actually stopped being all "pro-America and aren't we the best, brightest and the saviours of all" and made a real indictment of the post 9/11-era. That was fucking impressive and all. Terrorists, huh?

You know what's scary?... In Fallout, Peter dreamed of Nathan coming for him and morphing into Sylar.

Kring has mentioned that there are quasi-prophetic clues to the dreams/visions that Peter has. And its completely twisted enough for them to show up in the fashion that it did last night... but Kring also has stated that certain things would happen and certain Heroes would clearly "die" in upcoming episodes... and Five Years Later, would also fit into the completely twisted way that Kring has of exploring themes without having to commit to them.

I'm of the camp that Nathan will NOT die, but he may have enough regret or crisis of faith to maybe wish he was. I think we will see something huge with him during the finale that will determine his role in season 2.

Other than that, I completely agree with your views on Peter's hotassery, expletives abound.

Like I said, sweetie, as long as he's around, so am I.
