Neville, how could you do me like this?

In what may be one of the most traumatic episodes EVER, last week I plugged in my iPod to charge the battery and it blue screened my computer. And then, when the computer rebooted and iTunes came back up, my pod started syncing up, only instead of syncing up, it synced down and proceeded to wipe itself clean. Yeah, you read that right. Two years, five computers and 5000 songs worth of work are all gone. And of course the Apple Geniuses were of no help, they basically said, "Yeah, your music is gone, no we don't know why, but your pod seems fine."

And it's not just the music -- although that REALLY smarts -- if you have a pod you know the time you take with it. You put in artwork and you make sure things are spelled right and capitalized and you create your own genres and playlists and you hug it and love it and call it George!

*sigh*

Like I said, there aren't any words, but if you've gotten music from me in oh, like EVER, or you have anything you think I'd like, I am asking you to help me out and put it in this post. Pop, rock, classical, old skool hip-hop, new wave, old wave, old classics, country, motown, jazz, blues, drinking songs, live songs, 420 songs, grunge, rap, comedy, britrock, britpop, kids songs, christmas songs, working out songs, 80s, 90s, 70s, covers, disco, you name it and chances are I would like it. I thank you in advance. I have to go take a Xanax.

ETA: To make life easier for you giving souls, you should know that I have 300+ CDs waiting to be loaded on my Pod, if I decide it's still trustworthy, so you don't have to give me whole albums of stuff, maybe just a zip with some of your favorite songs, that would totally be awesome too.

I don't know how to get the stuff *off*, darlin' just on. I know there's software for stuff like that though, but I don't have any I'd recommend. Thank you for thinking of me :)

Oh, bummer. Maybe someone else knows how. I'm just totally clueless about all this techie stuff.

I know how to download the stuff OFF my ipod, but I don't know how to zip or upload.

There's 70s MOR, 80s New Wave, 90s country-rock, 00s top 40 . . . hm, apparently I change my listening habits every decade. I am pathetic and STILL don't have the Ryan Adams "Cold Roses" album, which makes me very unhappy. But I'm sure someone will have it to give you.

Let me know if you can think of anything that you want from me... I'll try to find out how to get it to you. :)

Oh, you can get it off? Oh, then I can do the rest. If you're on windows, right click on your desk top, and there will be a new tag. Under that tag you will see 'compressed file' hit that. A zip file will then pop up, which you can call whatever you want. And then you just drop the files in there. Once that it done you can upload to to mediafiles.net or sendspace or stuff like that :) 70s, 80s and 90s are all good for me. 00 is not impressive.

Sorry this took so long! I had no idea how time-consuming it would be . . . I can send more later on if you like-- this is only, like, one-third of my music files.

Okay, uploaded a ton of crap at sendspace. http://www.sendspace.com/file/oovimx
