I am perfectly calm and rational.

Fuck you, Kring.

I knew it was coming.. I knew it. The minute they went to the podium, my brain flashed Every Political Assassination Ever. And yet, wow, was that upsetting. I'm startled and disoriented and pissed the fuck off. And yet, strangely optimistic. The transfusion at least makes sense now.

There. See. That's all I have to say about that (lies).

I've never had a character that I love die on me canonically. I've killed them off plenty (I had a moratorium put on me in HP, because I kept knocking off vast quantities of people), but this is new. I don't really like it very much. It's one thing for me to leave, but quite something else to be left.

I am, thankfully, busy with RL, but I also find myself reading my old Heroes stuff because, frankly, Tim Kring can suck my left tit. Nathan's not dead. That's just unacceptable. This show should be dead to me, but since I have to write an ending that I can live with, let's just say that the lid on the casket is still open.

*Is this episode airing again, because I need to see it but I can't buy it from iTunes, what with the WGA strike and that?

Does anybody have any music they want to share with the class? I think we could all use some, so, bring your music here. Tell your friends. Make them bring some too. Here, I'll start with this mixed tape entitled FUTK, which shockingly enough does not stand for Fuck You Toby Keith*

1. The Blow Monkeys 'It Doesn’t Have to Be This Way'
2. Jason Mraz '10,000 Motherfuckers'
3. Beastie Boys 'Sabotage'
4. Mark Ronson f/ Lily Allen 'Oh My God' (Kaiser Chiefs cover)
5. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds 'People Ain't No Good'
6. Aretha Franklin 'Respect'
7. Betty Davis 'Anti-Love Song'
8. Garbage 'The World is Not Enough'
9. Zero 7 'This World'
10. T-Rex 'Bang a Gong (Get on it)'
11. Damien Rice 'The Professor'
12. Dixie Chicks 'Not Ready to Make Nice'

*Shut up and Sing represent!

I've never been a Marvel girl, but this story (http://www.ravenswing.com/~mirrorgirl/dangerous.html) is a collaboration between [livejournal.com profile] 3jane and [livejournal.com profile] thete1 and pretty much is made of awesome.

I have seen it again. All is right (wrong) with the world.

I like, oh, everything, except heavy metal and Christian rock and gangster rap. So anything you mentioned would be awesome.

A little bit of everything (I like right now):

Lykke Li - Little Bit (http://www.divshare.com/download/3028946-6d4): It might start off a little odd, but most of the appeal is that it is catchy and fun and so very pop, the way that pop was meant to be.

Jose Gonzalez - Teardrop(Massive Attack Cover) (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029020-570): The original of the song first come to my attention as the theme song for House. I rather like how Jose Gonzalez brings another layer that makes it softer than the original.

The Blow - Pile of Gold (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029037-339): I like the hook, and the message amuses me.

Black Moth Super Rainbow - Sun Lips (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029050-d96): I never noticed how creepy this song was until I listened to it to describe it. I think since I saw the music video first, in which a downright bafflingly disturbing sequence of events plays out, the song sort of because endearing. The song reminds me of moving on from my pseudo-ex. It is beautiful in a way.

Laura Marling - New Romantic (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029214-1a7): I came by this song on a music blog. Marling weaves lyrics together in a way that makes her stand out to me.

Ryan Adams - Wonderwall (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029217-3dd): I am afraid that no matter how many Ryan Adams songs I listen to, none will surpass this cover that is the way I came to learn his name.

Tokyo Police Club - Your English is Good (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029216-6f1): I originally intended to make up little one-liners about all the songs. I shall start now: This is a song for drinking a beer while relaxing with friends.

The Wombats - Moving to New York (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029231-07d): A song to wake you up on the way to work.

Spoon - I Turn My Camera On (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029233-47f): A song to dance around in your underwear too.

Wolev - Drapeau Blanc (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029279-17b): A song to contemplate why you can't sleep while sipping a cup of coffee.

Simian Mobile Disco - Sleep (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029286-b34): A song to come down to after a night out.

Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch(Hot Chip Remix) (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029296-336): A song to feel connected to everything/everyone/everywhere

1990s - You're Supposed to be my Friend (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029306-556): A song to plan a bit of schadenfreude to

Cake - I will Survive (http://www.divshare.com/download/3029317-918): A song to roll the windows down and just let to wind blow through your hair to.

I hope you enjoy these tracks.

I've finally had a chance to listen to this zip and it is fucking FANTASTIC. I've never heard of Adele before, but wow, she's brilliant. Same with Susan Enan and Loquat. Thank you so much!

Your welcome! Im glad you liked it. Adele is a new singer from London, so I'm looking forward to hearing more from her. Same with Susan Enan (the song is from an episode of Bones).

Lately I've been on a real music kick, so I've been trying to upload stuff on a more regular basis, so there's a bit at my journal if you want to take a look (although Im not sure if all the links are still alive).
