I'm picturing all kinds of angsty one-sided Jack/David: "I hate him! He has my father's approval [from Jack's POV] that I want but he's so fucking hot!"

Yeah, for three-quarters of the pilot I was going, "Wait, what cannon gay characters? I was promised cannon gay characters by hackthis, who knows way more about these things than I do!" And then we got the (potentially!)evil!gay character and I facepalmed. I hope they do something damn cool with this.

Mostly, I'm interested (okay, aside from the pretty) in this for anthropological/history geek reasons; I want to see the world building they do here. Because it looks on the surface like an America-mirror, and I can't wait to see what they do to show how it got that way. ...if they do...

But total hotness all over the damn place, and I even don't mind the Princess too much (yet...).

I'm not a Jack fan. I find him tiresome. I can see how he was on GG girls, and I do not mean that favorably. He's going to have to work much harder. Rev Walker, Silas and David though? LOVE 'EM.
