The Right Stuff!

I was going to talk about my new found love and appreciation for all things NCIS. Really, can I get a Gibbs? Baring that, some really hot Gibbs porn. And then I was going to ask where the hell is all the Kirk/McCoy and can we not have people crying or being broken or whatever, but doing what they do best? Namely, being snarky and hot as fuck. Or possibly, I was going to see if I could get some of you snitches to make me beer icons. BUT. That has all been pushed aside, because apparently Michael Cudlitz (Cooper to you lot) is friends with FUCKING DONNIE WAHLBERG. ETA: I'd forgotten that they did Band of Brothers together, which again, goes to show that EVERYBODY was in that series and it's my favorite for a reason. I love that they're still in touch almost ten years later. Seriously, if you haven't seen BoB, this is The Offical [livejournal.com profile] hackthis Boot (TM) of GET THE FUCK ON THAT.

*Said boot also applies to Generation Kill, The Wire, Homicide, Southland, Skins, Life on Mars (UK edition only), Kitchen Confidential and Mad Men.

Please don't make me embarass myself. Seriously though, it also turns out that Michael's son wants to make his own throwing stars. And a crossbow. He's a total ninja baby. I love the hell out of archery myself, and would not object to the throwing stars, but that's not my kid, so...

Also, plz, feel free to bring me your smoking hot Gibbs pron, Kirk/McCoy pron and snark and beer icons. Thx. Peace out.

ETA #2: [livejournal.com profile] alethialia, [livejournal.com profile] trolleys, et al, GK types, please go and tell [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 that the baby [livejournal.com profile] hackthis will CRY if she doesn't write Mermaid!Brad. Yeah, you read that right. Enabling is a team sport!

YOU HAVE JUST MADE ME THE HAPPIEST GIRL ON THE PLANET. I CANNOT STOP TALKING IN ALL CAPS, SO I WILL BE BACK LATER WITH RECS WHEN I CAN TALK LIKE A NORMAL PERSON.

Baby, last week I posted 38,000 words of Southland. All I want now is a Gibbs*. BRING IT.

*Okay, naked or clothed, it's just the principle of the thing where I can read and not be thinking about writing.

Sorry for the delay -- it was Rex Manning Burn Notice night.

Baby, last week I posted 38,000 words of Southland.

Which I haven't read yet because I'm saving it for this weekend. (FYI. I have not abandoned you!)

Okay, so these are all Gibbs/DiNozzo, because... well, that's the only pairing I read in this fandom. Also, any show that references both 'Convoy' and Smokey and the Bandit within a single minute has got me for life.

1. Anything by [livejournal.com profile] twoweevils, but especially these:

- Buddy System, which, if I may be so bold, seems like it was engineered especially for you. Or maybe it was for me. Whatevs. *g*

- Clean, which is pre-slash, so no porn, but you do get some great angst about being in law enforcement.

- Between Good and Better (phone sex!) and its sequel, The Trick is Not Minding.

- Oh, and Wayward Son, which starts off funny and gets a little sad and then has moar lite humorz.

2. Interrogative, by [livejournal.com profile] thehoyden, which takes place a few months after Tony survives the plague. Yes, on NCIS, the plague is canon. At least it's not mpreg?

3. Blooded by [livejournal.com profile] malnpudl. I haven't seen a lot of casefic in this fandom -- that shit is hard to write, for srs -- but this captures some of the feelings of working forensics and crime scenes.

That should be enough to get you started, right?

PS: Tony worked Baltimore Homicide from about 1999 - 2001. I KNOW.
