The Hotass State?

Subsequent to my last post, [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma, [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 and I have been wondering what exactly is in the water in Texas to make the ratio of hotass so high?

As far as the three of us are aware:

- Ben McKenzie (Austin)*
- Matt Bomer (Houston)
- Lee Pace (Houston)
- Jensen Ackles (Richardson)
- Jared Padalecki (San Antonio)**

are all from Texas.

So, we come to you to ask, who else? What other hotassery is from Texas?

You got pictures? Bring'em.

Also, please provide hometowns as well since we need to know if a sabbatical is in order and whether or not we need tasers and zipties or just some good old fashioned rope and cleavage.

*[livejournal.com profile] sparky77 has informed me that Austin is not Texas.** I was... not aware of this. Is this like when that Congressman said Texas was going to scede from the US? [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma believes some people might take offense to this, but does not necessarily disagree. Much in the same way that Northern VA is not like the rest of VA.

**I have been informed that people from San Antonio are "weird" and/or "insane." [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 says there's really awesome BBQ there though.

Hi! [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 sent me. Don't forget Sendhil Ramamurthy of Heroes; he's from San Antonio, and he's wicked hot. Also, Ethan Hawke (Austin), Alan Tudyk (El Paso), Christian Kane (Dallas), and Matthew McConaughey (Uvalde). And representing the female side of hotassery, Alexis Bledel (Houston), Jennifer Garner (Houston), Summer Glau (San Antonio), Amy Acker (Dallas), Michelle Rodriguez (Bexar County), Renée O'Connor (Austin), and Jaclyn Smith (Houston). We breed 'em pretty down here!

Hey, now. Austin is actually not too different from Houston, y'know. I challenge your definition of real Texan!

Really? I'd love the name if you think of it. Vivo on Manor Rd. has tasty puffy tacos but they're a bit pricey and become a fairly hiptster place to hang. A casual puffy taco place would be wonderful.

Downhill?

I hope you aren't including Gattaca in that "downhill" statement.

OH MY LORD! YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MEHCAD BROOKS?! I have to admit most of the people listed in this post above don't do anything for me... but that fine specimen of hotassery? Wow. Thank you, Texas.

i am just commenting to say FUCK YEAH TEXAS. i love living here. cause the hotassery isn't just celebrities. there is more hotass in texas than anywhere else i have ever, ever lived. love it so much. texas boys ♥ half my coworkers? HOT. this scowly, gorgeous, built, tattooed guy i met randomly a few weeks ago who wouldn't tell me his job but secretly turned out to be a sheriff? HOTTTT.

and as for celebrities, he's not an actor, but a motorcycle racer. but he's from longview (dallas), and painfully hot.

Woot! Houston solidarity! I've been here, on and off, about 30 years.

You took the words from my mouth! Er, or whatever the internet equivalent is.

Jim Parsons is attractive as Sheldon but am always taken a bit by surprise at how good looking he is out of TBBT uniform when I come across pics of him in RL. I vote he is hot!

It could still be in the water; only time will tell ...

I am so with you on this; it feels like when I look up an attractive actor, they are from Texas one in two times. That is one in two actors in THE WHOLE WORLD.*

I grew up in Texas, and my high school debate coach judged Mr. Pitt in Dramatic Interp* back in the day, so we're totally claiming him at least a little bit.

*When pressed for details, he described Brad as being "pretty good." Yes, we did all hate him lots.

Dennis Quaid went to my high school! He is totally from Houston.

Just going off this post I have almost enough names for an Alphabet of Texan Hotasses (by last name). Anyone have an I, J, N, U, V, X, Y, or Z?

Cancel that. All I need is an X, and possibly a replacement for Hilary Duff.
