“It won’t happen again?” he offered.

“Yet more empty promises, Potter?”

“Would ‘sorry’ help at all?”

“You wore argyle socks with striped trousers.”

“My homosexuality didn’t come with wardrobe instructions. That’s no reason to leave me.”

“Do you agree to burn them?”

“You’re taking the piss.”

Draco shrank his slippers. The fuzzy ones.

“Yes, I’ll burn them,” Harry amended hastily.

“And Avada Kedavra the ashes?”

“Draco.”

Arched eyebrow. Correction: an elegant arched eyebrow.

“Yes, fucking hell, yes.”

“Good.”

“Can we have the make-up shag now?”

“Remove the socks first.”
