You know, I keep hearing about this Merlin, I'm totally going to have to check it out, aren't I?

As I told dine what very very little i've been pondering WRT to the high-school AU can be found on this thread (http://hackthis.livejournal.com/503609.html?thread=13875513), but as I just don't have enough steam at the moment I expect this will just turn into an excuse for them to have sex in the locker room.

Oh, do give Merlin a chance. It is so freaking adorable, it makes my days better just thinking about it. It's not historically accurate or particularly serious, but the characters are fun and the developing relationship between the young Merlin and the just-as-young Arthur is a joy to watch.

And there is nothing wrong with a bit of locker room porn :D

This show is all about how much they can make Merlin and Arthur touch/ look at/ talk about/ defend/ save each other. It's really kind of ridiculous. Though I hear it's not as much fun for people who don't see the slash (I don't know any of those people, though, so they might be a myth).

Well, probably not on-screen, since it's a late afternoon/early evening show on the BBC and *kids might see omg*, but by episode four the show has gone through what feels like every slash trope known to womankind. Since Russel T. Davies has had some involvement in the show's conception, I believe it's fair to say that it's intentional.
