Okay. So. First of all, thank you to everyone who responded to ‘The Prodigal Replacement;’ it means a lot to me to know that you all enjoyed it, and I will totally respond as soon as I can. Theoretically, there is more where that came from. Okay, not really theoretically, more like definitely, I’m just trying to work out the kinks. Kinks. Adam. Funny. I digress.

( I’ve been thinking very hard about why I’m so gung-ho for <b>Adam & Lex vs. Clark & Lex</b> these days, and the reasoning that I've come up with is that I’ve always wanted Lex to have someone who won’t judge him and find him lacking )

Okay, I have a confession to make: I don’t find Ian Somerhalder ovary-crampingly pretty. (Wendi, breathe, I’m not done yet.) He’s nice to look at don’t get me wrong. Definitely preferable to some possibilities, but I think it’s some sort of image overload. Too much happening at one time in one place: too much with the cheekbones and the eyes and the mouth. It’s like whoa, maybe we need to turn the dial back to 11.

I say this only to point out that, yes pretty, but IMO not pretty like, say, Jude. Or Cillian Murphy, but still not hard on the eyes. However. When you put Adam next to Lex, and they’re together, all smirking mouths and sharp blue eyes, dude, forget prettiness, you get The Hot. And lemme tell you, one can get a lot of mileage out of The Hot. Hence all the porn and no plot. Well, maybe a little plot, but do you know how hard it is to write something when one keeps stopping to say ‘dude, that’s hot’?
