a) For my M.Sc, I studied the effects of climate change on tundra plants in the Torngat Mountains in northern Labrador, which is an indescribably beautiful place when you're not being pursued by bears :)
b) Teacup pigs are itty-bitty pigs that a English breeder sells as pets and are ridiculously adorable. Although bacon in a jar would also make me happy :)
