In other news, I just got spoiled for OoTP by the fucking NEWSPAPER! I hate USAToday. How does that shit happen? And which one of you lot stole those 7,000 copies of the book in Liverpool? C’mon fess up, cos I want my freebie.

I'd like to write something today, but this is proving much more difficult than normal.

In other news, I just got spoiled for OoTP by the fucking NEWSPAPER! I hate USAToday. How does that shit happen?

Seriously, Z...do not read any newspapers nor watch any news show (that includes celeb gossip shows) till after you've read the book. I have stumbled over a major plot point TWICE online (CNN and Yahoonews) and many times on TV. I'm getting really pissed off. I hear that the NYT also spoils the plot.

This is not like waiting for a movie that everyone else has seen and then having one person tell you the ending. It's like the whole office telling you the ending.

I'm so mad...soooooo mad.

That said...I can't wait for my copy to arrive. Me being uber geek I ordered the UK kid's version which means I won't get it for a long time. Still...wheeeeeee!

I was so bitter. Words cannot express my bitterness, Ali. I've ignored everything and everyone trying not to get spoiled and then the fucking NEWSPAPER ruins it. bastards. it was better when i didn't pay attention to the news, i see that now.

Oh, damn, you got spoiled. Thank Goodness that German newspapers don't care about OotP at all. I'm getting the British Adult Version ('cause I think the cover is pretty) hopefully on the 21st (odds are good) - but I can't read it until the 24th, since I'm not allowed to read it until I pass my oral exam (I've been threatened with having it taken away until much later if I come home with a bad grade)

I have tried so hard to avoid the spoilers, except for those Rowling wanted us to know (from chats and the Bloomsbury teaser) I'm blissfully unaware of any other and I'm trying hard to stay that way.

As for the meaning of your lj name: In a strange way they all seem to mae a little bit of sense - at least my four do (and no, I find it not in the least alarming that I can discern four personalities in my head ;)

Also, gorgeous cover for gorgeous fic. Believe me, you deserve it.
