It’s Tuesday, and there is no new O.C., does this mean I will have to begin detoxing soon? I am v v sad. October 30th seems a long way away. On the upswing, SV starts next week. I’ve seen two whole trailers, and very pretty they were, but where’s my Lex?

In other news, [livejournal.com profile] kattiya is attempting to bribe me to return to LOTRips for a quick stint. I know I still owe [livejournal.com profile] plum_evil her birthday story (and also Criss, Hope and Fay’s), but I’m just completely blocked up on anything non-Seth related. You think I jest, but no. Also, [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma is working on this O.C. thing that just, well, woobie. You’ll see. And it's ready! Read it, damnit!

Today’s Music Recc is The Verve. A one hit wonder in the States for ‘Bittersweet Symphony,’ but much better known underground and everywhere else for LP’s ‘A Northern Soul’ and ‘Urban Hymns.’ Defunct now for six years, I continued to love them and wait for Mad Richard to get his head out his arse. It will never happen, but hey, that’s what hope is for.

Random notes of complete un-interest:

I broke the on-button for my monitor in a Supergirl moment. Orange County, CA is among America’s most educated area; 31% of its adult population has college degrees. Mos Def has the cutest dimples I have ever seen, and Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry on HBO is that underrated show that everybody should be watching. The head of ABC Tivo’s The O.C. Left-handers are more prone to addiction than anybody else. On the back of one of the trades, there's a full page WB ad celebrating something or other, and they have glamour shots of their biggest, brightest, prettiest stars: TW is the largest photo, dead center.

So, Seth would be okay? I know you wanted Sirius & Remus, and I wanted to deliver, but right now it's like blood from a stone.

Have you heard Richard Ashcroft's solo stuff? The Verve were better, imo, but even his solo stuff was pretty good. He had maybe two songs here that anyone heard and then he too disappeared under the waves of crappy pop that now dominate the charts. Ugh.

Sorry, sweetie, but in my opinion that solo stuff was complete and utter shit. I wouldn't wipe my arse with it. If he wasn't such an egocentric bastard, and Nick was still on his meds, everything would still... okay, maybe no ideal, but at least I could've gotten another LP out of the mess!

Are you sure? I really wanted to write you some Billy/Dom, but Seth is like QVC: on all the time, everywhere. If you want Seth, I can do some Seth for you. Oh, yes.

Oh, Seth is the new sparkly crack...and you write him so well. So yeah, completely understand that when it doesn't flow, it really doesn't flow. Count me supremely happy with Mr. Cohen and his wackiness. *g*

If you see the episode of Def Poetry with Lou Reed and Smokey Robinson, look to the right of the stage at the second row, and see if you see me in the audience. :-)

Mos Def is adorable. And also short.

You got to see Lou Reed and Smokey Robinson? Dude! I am hella jealous. I heart Mos Def; I don't mind if he's short.
