*I don't even know what to say about all the comments for part five of Telegraph Avenue. I'm completely gobsmacked. I'm not sure when I'll be able to answer them all, but thank you.

*The O.C. is going to come out on DVD. Words cannot begin to explain my glee. *hugs [livejournal.com profile] romanticalgirl* AIEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Random Question of the Day: Have y'all ever come across you wrote story a while ago and thought:

a) WTF! This sucks! Excuse me while I go flog myself fifty times.
b) I don't remember writing that. When the hell did I write that?
c) This is the bomb shizznit.
d) All of the above. And for the same story, too!

Random Answer of the Day:

Helllllll, yes! To all four, actually. I read crap I wrote in 7th grade and want to jump quietly off cliffs -- and I wondered why people would archive my shit. Jeez.

As for b, like, my computer is full of snippets with really weird-ass names (dracoandpuppies, 8675309, grandmas, etc)so I never know what I'm going to get when I open one. Sometimes it's like: !!! the fuck?! where/when/huh?!

c, sure, but only very rarely. like, two pieces, seriously. and not even in my main fandom.

d is the story of my fucking life. the life that i don't have.

It wasn't a fic, but I ran across an essay I wrote in 7th grade once --titled "Crackdown on Crack" and wanted to fall over laughing. Not cliffs, but definately the same sort of thing.

How about (e)...you run across something you wrote five years ago and say, "dammit, this is better than any of the stuff I'm writing now. What the feck happened to my mad skills?"

I HATE (e)

O.C. on DVD?

Dude, I was having the worst day EVER, and between this and part five of Telegraph Avenue, um, yeah, you totally turned that around. I suck at giving feedback, but I am entirely loving that story in amounts that should be illegal.

As for the random question of the day...A and B, most frequently. Hee.

A, B, and C, all the time. B is usually rather entertaining.

Sadly, all of them. B usually after I decide drinking and writing mix. I've actually had things come back from a beta and go 'WTF? I wrote *that*?' It's a scary thing, especially when it's better than anything written sober.

Answer: Yep. Quite a bit. All of them, not C as often as I'd like tho.

Also E: Who wrote this & put my name on it? (both good & bad)

and F: Wow. I used to be a good writer, wtf happened?

Oooh, OC on DVD. Yay!

A, except 50 thousand times and with a wooden switch. Yeah, baby, it hurts. :D But then, so does re-reading old work. *wince*

Freakin'! O.C. on DVD! That rhymes!

What I meant to say was...that rocks like a beast, but also kicks my taped episodes' butts. Wah. I spent so much time recording, too.

Random Side Note: Telegraph Avenue rocks like a beast too. Can I take Jamie home and feed him? He calls to me like starving children in Africa.

*dies laughing* That is so un-PC. That is so fucking hysterical. This is SO definitely in my top ten TA comments.

:D Glad to amuse you, ma'am.

The O.C. is going to come out on DVD.

*squeaks* YAY!

b) I don't remember writing that. When the hell did I write that?

All the time. It's scary.

As for the rest, usually I think something sucks while I write it, and then, when I come across it again a while after posting it, I suddenly think, hey, that wasn't THAT bad. *shrugs*
