I just want to make it clear that I'm seriously, seriously chuffed that you guys seem to like Telegraph Avenue so much. It means a lot to me, and the next chapter will be up soon. Theoretically. But before we go any further I think I need to point a few things out which I thought were pretty obvious from the get go:

1. Jamie is not a mass murderer in hiding.

He is not an abuser, a dominatrix, or somebody who gets off on seeing Seth hurt. He's just a guy, for better or worse. He is *not* responsible for Seth being where he is. If you're thinking this, or hoping this, perhaps you need to read a different story.

2. Harassing my betas for spoilers is not cool by me.

Again, I'm really touched that you guys are enjoying the story so much and I appreciate the enthusiasm, but dude, no. That’s just wrong. They may find it amusing it, but they’re doing *me* a favor, don’t make them regret that.

ETA: Apparently I got the wrong end of the stick, so my apologies for that, but the same rules still apply overall:

Enthusiasm = Good. Brilliant. Amazing. Harassment = bad.

Nobody likes being harassed.

3. The story will be ready when it's ready, not before.

I think that's pretty self explanatory.

[random] There are a lot of anonymous comments for the story, if any of you guys want an LJ drop me a line and I will hook you up with a code. [/random]

Awww, dude, people are harassing the betas? Uncool! And poor Jamie. How does it strike you when people lash out at another character just because he's in the unfortunate position of being in the middle of the OTP?? Dude, I hate that. Both Lois and Chloe have taken a lot of bashing in some of my 'verses for that reason.

And don't rush it! You're building an epic, man. People are waaaaaay to impatient.

Also, I have traquilizer darts if you want me to take somebody out, baby girl. Just say the word.

They aren't harrassing the betas! Really! At least not me! And if Kassie was being harrassed, I think she'd smack them down so quickly they'd hit China before they knew what was happening.

But thanks, Z. I appreciate it. *g*

oooh, well, if you put it that way...*winks*

(you can always harrass me, you know. i consider it a high compliment)

an idea for another popsicle story (sort of) came to me the other day, actually, so we'll see. Watch this space.

Or, actually, watch *my* journal, since this is zahra's. Right. going now.

For the most part people have been seriously cool with Jamie, they seem to be rooting for him, which makes me happy. But every now and then somebody's like, so what's wrong with him, and my hackles go up. Why does something have to be wrong with him? Can't he just be a nice guy who's attracted to Seth and who Seth likes? Is there a quota?

This is just random thing though, and nothing like what I believe happened with your Bradbury verse. That was just jacked. I don't understand the need to villify one person just to make somebody else look good. Whatever happened to things like, I don't know, *merit* and allowing for people to be human?

I haven't been thinking a lot about Smallville recently, but as far as I'm concerned Lex deserves as many options as possible. I don't do the OTP thing as much as write about who I think seems good together. I don't think that should exclude everybody else, except Lana because she's selfish and annoying.

Who do you want me to hurt? Because I will, you know. No one messes with my darling Zahra and her fic. OR HER BETAS.

Oh. Yeah, loving Telegraph Avenue, saving up feedback for the end. But the last chapter made my heart hurt. For Jamie. And Ryan. But mainly Jamie.

Surely people aren't bitching? Cause as much as I understand the whole 'More, MORE!' thing, you've been getting this out amazingly quickly.

I thought it was going pretty timely myself. It's not like I didn't clearly state how many parts there were and that it *was* going to be finished.

Seriously though, don't be hatin' on my new gay platonic boyfriend.

um, hello. i really really love your story, it is quite possibly one of the best the O.C. stories i have come across. it makes me happy when i see it updated, because it has a nice developed OC (hee, that is funny an OC in the O.C. universe, anyway) who would be completely perfect for Seth, if it wasn't for his True Love w/ Ryan. and, man I'd date him if it wasn't for the whole gay and imaginary thing.

but anyway the point of this was not to fangirl you but rather to ask you for an lj code, because that would be really cool. my email is strange_one42@hotmail.com

thank you for wonderful stories, and perchance the code

Jamie *isn't* a mass murderer in hiding?! WTF? I could've sworn that's where this was going. I suppose I'll just have to read for the trials and tribulations of trying to make sense of one's self/heart in college including the heartaches of it all. *sigh* Oh wait, that's why I *was* reading it. Anyhoo...I just dropped in mainly to say don't let the bastards get you down.

Dude, this is the most timely WIP I have ever seen. If people can't wait, how the hell do they hang on for a weekly TV show?

I can't take the fact that we don't have The OC down here. Read the overview at [livejournal.com profile] crack_van. Will read your fic tonight. Will probably end up buying those stupid DVDs.

Cannot resist the pretty.

I've not spent much time in or arund lj other than reading fics, but I'd be happy to set up an account. So send me a code, but tell me what to do with it, too!

And screw the haters giving you a hard time. Writing shouldn't follow a schedule...otherwise it would be forced and non-creative like 85% of what's on network tv.

I can't figure out why anyone would find Jamie to be sinister. Unless they're making associations with his Murder By Numbers character...

Heh. I was thinking this for about five minutes and getting very anxious not wanting it to be true. Because I still want to marry Jamie. There was a line that made me think it, but I don't remember what it was. Something a couple parts ago. But then I dismissed the idea because you're too good a writer to make it that easy. Also, I dismissed the idea because Jamie plays guitar and is cute and part of me wants Seth to have his babies.

I think people are generally paranoid about nice people. I'm paranoid about nice people even in real life. I can't be friends with nice people because I end up wondering how sincere they are. Seriously, all my friends are just this side of total bitches. But so am I, so yay!

Uh, yeah. Somewhere along the line this momentary reassurance that I still love Jamie turned rambly. Uh. Yes. Jamie? Good. Non-dominatrix... although maybe Seth would like that.

Are you sure you cant make Jamie a domintrix or something? I'm sure it would be hot. You know, with the leather outfits and all.

Ahem, excuse me. Moving on.

I'm also seriously, seriously awaiting the next installments since I am reading your fics with religious zeal bordering on obssession.

Okay, so I'm a big dummy...

alright, i think it's time for me to de-lurk. =)

i've been reading telegraph ave, and it has got to be one of the best stories that i've ever read, in any fandom. seriously! it got more points because ryan gosling is hot as hell. i've been in love with him ever since i saw "murder by numbers". holy shite. plus, you paint the pictures of him and seth so nicely, i'm just like "aww". i'm not being very coherent right now, seeing how i'm in the midst of writing a boring philosophy paper, but i just wanted to say thanks for writing such a great story! peace

I think everyone is just excited about the story. Don't let it pressure you, finish when you're ready. I would love to see it all right now but I understand that people have real lives and writing takes time. I'm always amazed and thankful that writers put so much effort into writing for the fandom. So thanks, and keep up the good work.

Okay, so I checked theoc_slash obsessively, and grew faintly worried that you hadn't posted on Monday before realizing that *smacks forehead* you have an LJ all your own, and that I could just check that, to see if you were still breathing. And you are! And you're handing out codes! So, besides drooling over Seth, Ryan and Jamie, and the fact that you write so well, I have come to grovel at your feet for an lj code. Please? My email address is Psycho_chick38@hotmail.com. Thank you. ^_^

I hope I didn't make you feel pressure to get it done. Can't speak for others, but when I say "more more" and things of that nature I just want you to know that I love it and look forward to the next installation. If there have been actual expressions of impatience, well, they're silly. I can't believe how quickly you're putting this out and it's. so. good.
