1. kattiya made me this wicked CD and then had the balls nerve to entitle it ‘Emo’. Y’all know how I feel about emo, [insert stabbing motions here] but because *Kat* made it I had to, like, look at it and check the track listing, and not just bin it immediately because NO EMO in my house. Except when I looked at the track listing and realised she’d put stuff I actually listen to, like Jet and the Dandys on there and there was none of that *other stuff* it was okay.

I am for real--at least, that's what they tell me. A wonderful friend of mine gifted me with tapes last year, and to be honest they'll be about third or fourth generation, but indeed watchably. Just email me at sa[at]adamao.org so I can get your mailing address; I already have tapes on hand that I wasn't planning on using for anything, so it's no problem for me to just send them along. Everyone needs a fandom gift, you know? Dunno how long it'll take me to put together, 'cause I'm not quite sure where all the tapes are located, but shouldn't be more than a month--which is possibly an overestimate. The blond? Callum Keith Rennie. He's a hot muthafucker, which really only comes across when you see him act Ray. I've seen CKR in almost every other appearance he's done guesting on other shows--to some degree, dS watchers are as fanatical about the actors as LOTR fen are, though not as overtly or as loudy--and though I'm biased, some of his best work was on due South. Paul Gross is probably the pedastaled actor to which I hold the beauty of all others up to; finding a really hot picture of a guy is called, among my circles, the elusive "naked Paul Gross." And if you haven't seen Hard Core Logo? rent and watch right now. It will cement the CKR love, and is so, so slashy. I only have divx files of tapes of the swedish syndication episodes, which means bad quality and swedish subtitles, but their love is so worth it. And, seriously, RayK/Fraser is very, very canon. It's definitely intentional. And you really need to see it. I read a lot of slash fic before I actually got to see them on screen, and it didn't prepare me for the absolutely slashy love fest ;)

1) The blond guy? He was in some La Femme Nikita episode arc from way back. That's how I think of him whenever I see Due South icons. Unless he is uber-gay on D/S that's how I'll always think of him.

Everybody's feeling the love! I have this theory of fannish waves, because isn't it odd that about seven fans suddenly fall for dS at the same time?

Anyway, I'm in this fandom like nothing ever, because they're funny and quirky and they FIGHT CRIME, and the LOVE, and it's snarky and ghost dads and dancing and Stella and *dies and is dead*.

Oh, I just bought Call of the Wild on DVD, and I'd be willing to make copies. Because I am all about encouraging the writing.
