1. [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma told me there were OC Awards happening, which I did not know -- but now that I have gone and nominated people I feel better. Nominate LJ shit, people, or else [livejournal.com profile] lalejandra will break your kneecaps. Whomever nominated Ryan Gosling Jamie and a OC drug dealer Rex, you crack my shit up, and thanks to whomever liked Telegraph Ave enough to give it a nod.

2. Also, what the fucking fuck?

2a. Less Sark?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *sporks*

2b. [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma, it looks like JJ agrees with you about Alias being best when SD-6 was around. Maybe they’ll recreate it? Yis?

3. Anybody else out there looking forward to seeing HBO’s Entourage? I am!

4. I was flipping channels yesterday and randomly stopped on Six Feet Under. I’m not a fan, but there’s nothing quite like being in a separate room and hearing somebody’s aghast voice screeching “You’ve never rubbed one out?!.” For two whole seconds I thought she meant whacking someone and then I realized that, no, she meant the other rub one out. I’m going to have to write wank!fic for somebody, prolly Neville. Maybe Clark. Who knows. Thoughts?

hmmm..

On NBC or CBS, a show drawing only 8.2 million viewers per week wouldn't stand a chance, but for ABC, any kind of buzz-worthy drama was worth keeping around.

what idiot wrote that??? ABC cancels anything it damn well pleases buzz-worthy or not. i've had more shows cancelled on that network than any other.

there once was a network called ABC
otherwise known as Must See TV
they cancelled Sports Night
now that just isn't right
how stupid can one channel be?

~~end of rant~~

i'm beyond thrilled that JJ realizes the show turned to crap last season and can't wait to see how he fixes it... (bring back Will... i'm just sayin')

*chuckles*

Only one nitpick, babe, Must see TV is NBC, but you know six of one, half-dozen of the other. None of them make a good network, except ABC has JJ's shows on it, so I give them a little more leeway.

ya, i know it's NBC...

in the original limerick i called it Must Pee TV.

i will likewise always have a soft spot for the WB because of Felicity (my true JJ love)

Okay, that almost makes up for the less Sark issue. (Although, I kind of agree that Sark fits into the show better as a recurring character. Really, they should just give Sark his own show. There aren't enough shows with unrepentant amoral lead characters, you know?)

As far as bringing SD-6 back--and I think I've probably mentioned this to you before--what I liked best about the SD-6 concept is that it gave the show this central conflict and goal around which other action could revolve and evolve. SD-6 was like the shadow CIA: either their missions were the mirror-image of the CIA's mission, or there was this contest between the two organizations to see who could get there first. They've kind of got that going on with the Covenant, but there's not the extra tension of Sydney being a double-agent with the constant suspense of the possibility of discovery. Now there's...I don't know what the hell you'd call it. It's like Dynasty with spies.

(Note: this is not to say I have not enjoyed Alias lately, because i think it's obvious I have.)

I'm not so sure I'm entitled to have an opinion as I only came on board with seasons three and thus have watched the entire thing in reverse, but I feel that any time there is less Sark is a bad time for me.

Word to infinity.

It's like Dynasty with spies.

Okay, where's this icon, for real?

I think they tried to recreate SD-6 with the Covenant and, just, no. I am wondering if Spy!Daddy has some sort of organization of his own but I don't want a show where Syd and Jack are on opposite teams. I think they should just make last season a bad dream. Because it kinda was.

JJ worries me with all of these shows being in production at once. That's what killed the Whedonverse, imho. It's hard to have 1 really good show, let alone 3 on TV at once. Eventually, they are all going to suffer.

Oh gods, I hope not. Bad JJ, no cookies until you get all your ducks in a row. Not that ducks eat cookies, but still...

ah, that's the good thing about being out of the loop, i reckon. much less build-up hype-type angst.

then again, i just realized it airs on a channel i do not subscribe to, so i could totally work the "can't see it anyway" bitterness.

Haha, you know it. On my father's side, I come from a long line of kneecap breakers, so, you know, it's like genetic or something that I could do it.

It's not so much, actually, LJ pride, as it is that I'm anti-ff.net.

Also, I think just about everyone nominated Telegraph Ave for something. I sure did.

Anybody else out there looking forward to seeing HBO’s Entourage? I am!

I am too, but I don't have cable, so I will have to wait for the DVD set. *mourns*

Disclaimer: I have yet to see Season 3. (September 7 + DVD set = happy Chicklet)

With that out of the way...

What?! Decreased Sarkpresence? Still no Will? Possible Weissabsence? That leaves only Vaughn, and he's just so... Vaughny, with his "La-di-da, I can speak French and play hockey and accept gifts from my girlfriend's strangely-obsessed friend and look all wounded and puppyish. Love me!" ways.

Seriously, man. I'm looking to Marshall to be the only true highlight to Season 4. Watch, JJ's next announcement will be that Marshall's been reassigned to the CIA's Papua New Guinea field office.

Because JJ hates me.

*dies laughing*

I'm sure they won't do that -- having said that though, I heart me some Marshall and I'm very sad about the continual removal of all the hot men from this show, you know? Don't get me wrong, JG is gorgeous, but where's the eye candy, huh? With the neutering of Vaughn this is getting very depressing.

No! Don't die! Who's going to snark on emo for my amusement?

With all of the shenanigans at Alias and George Eads being fired from CSI, my television will be shockingly depleted of eye candy. We need to start some sort of campaign. *nods solemnly*

You do yaoi so well. Just thought I'd ask if you would do it. No harm in trying. Oh well.

I'm actually trying a piece of yuri myself. I don't know how it'll turn out, though. Seeing as how my own experience in the field is too outdated...
