I have to buy a new hoover. People, help me out. What kind of vacuums have you got? How well do they work? What do you recommend?

Yes! I did give in and splurge, and I so adore my Dyson. My previous vacuum was a Hoover, and this one shows it up humiliatingly in almost every possible way (I admit to missing some of the Hoover's attachments). I can't say enough about how cool it is, so yes, ridiculous amounts of love here too. :)
