Am making brief drive-by to swap clothing before I go back out of town for NYE. STOP

Had fucking wicked holiday. STOP

Have new boyfriend. STOP

A.J. Crowley. STOP

Yes, have discovered brilliance that is Good Omens. Must have stories to read upon return. It's plain to see that Salazar Slytherin is either a) Crowley's bastard love child or b) Crowley himself. Hello, serpent imagery. This means that Godric Gryffindor was obviously Aziraphale or some derivation thereof. (How does one pronounce that properly? Is it A-zir-a-fal or Azi-ra-phal-lee?) I digress. I think therefor, that Aziraphale and Crowley had a lovers tiff and that is why Salazar left. Am brilliant. Go team me.

Have not had chance to read [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story but am sure is brilliance. Thank you, whomever you are. My story is My So-Called Life, AKA [livejournal.com profile] hackthis' not-so-sekrit minor fandom obsession! My So Called Love Life - It's fem-slash people! How d'you like them apples?! "You shouldn't say things like that about him," Angela chastised through her tears. "He has a learning disability." "What does that have to do with him being an insensitive asshole led around by his dick?" Word!

Am glad recipient liked story I wrote, yaye me! Hope have not missed anything, please inform if otherwise.

Am bitter about expiration of user pics, but will cope later, also have not even thought about writing, which is so brilliant, yay holiday!

This is actually Circe, sitting in Annie's living room. We are both having conniption fits of joy at the prospect of Z's new Boyfriend. HOWEVER -- Theodore and Blaise are looking a wee bit concerned. (But not too much, as EEEEEEEEEEEEEE CROWLEY!)

Also -- SEKKRIT MESSAGE TO HACKTHIS: I have come up with the plot of the Fugitive Motel piece, bitch. Sirius/Hermione WTF.

Theodore and Blaise would eventually approve of Crowley, once they got to know him.

I'm pretty sure it's A-zir-a-fal (http://www.co.uk.lspace.org/books/apf/good-omens.html), and IS IT NOT THE BEST CRACK EVER?

A.J. Crowley is my hero.

Good Omens is a thing of brilliance. I myself and rereading it for the eighth time, and it's just as good as the first time.

[livejournal.com profile] anniesj has already compiled a rec list (http://www.livejournal.com/users/anniesj/367621.html), but be sure to check out [livejournal.com profile] lower_tadfield. Best GO comm on lj. :)

Crowley/Aziraphale forever!

If you write Good Omens, I may actually just DIE. Not that you should take that as a deterrent of any kind. *cough*

Cimorene's Good Omens (http://www.waxjism.org/cimorene/recsgo.html) recs page is the longest I know of, and most of it is very good too.

Personally I have a fondness for: Home is where the heart is (http://www.boukenshin.net/crowley/fics/daegaer_xover.html), California Dreaming (http://www.livejournal.com/users/daegaer/19996.html) and Ordinary People (http://www.livejournal.com/users/daegaer/50924.html) by Daegaer
and my very favoritest is and when he falls (http://strangeplaces.net/torch/andwhenhefalls.html) by torch, mainly because it's the first and only Good Omens fic I knew of for a long while, but also because I think it's the perfect coda to the book. Whenever I read the book, I tend to read this fic afterwards.

Also, I know there's at least one GO/HP crossover fic, wherein Adam decides to attend Hogwarts, and Crowley and Aziraphale follow him to keep him out of trouble. It's very good from what I can remember, but it was still a WIP last I knew. ...Can't remember what it was called though.

I love GO. Read it last summer... managed to knock it on the drive down to Monterey.

Have you read I, Lucifer? I have a feeling you'd enjoy it. I did, at least, so I recommend it to everyone.

The one by Glen Duncan. Buy it! It's very British. You know how some British authors seem to Americanize their novels a bit? Not so. I was going to recommend it to Nate until I realized that there were way too many Brit culture references in there that would go right over his head.

The accompanying "soundtrack" by The Real Tuesday Weld, also called "I, Lucifer" is also deliciously trippy. There's a song on there called "Terminally Ambivalent Over You."

Wow. I read Good Omens waaay before I found fanfic, and it never occurred to me that there would even be fic for it. I read one once...and became frustrated in my search for more. Now...so many links and recs! Whee!

Now I'm going to have to reread it. Poor me.

Oh...and such a logical moment of brilliance. Hee. Now I have the insane need to see fic supporting it.

Damn you.
