I live by the river...

When life gives you lemons, go have a pint instead. I hear (have gotten messages that) a lot of people are drinking their way home or are safely tucked up already, or were running late (thank the gods). This makes me feel better. So does music.
For everybody who needs a auditory pick-me-up lest the BBC/CNN/MSNBC coverage have you doing your nut…
1. Catatonia 'Londinium' -- Euston, Paddington train station please, make the red lights turn green, endlessly…
2. Embrace 'All You Good Good People -- Lose all your fears/ They are keeping you down/ You won't have to fake it/ While I'm around
3. Annie Lennox 'Don't Let it Bring You Down' -- Old man lying by the side of the road/ With the lorries rolling by
4. Heather Nova 'London Rain' -- Nothing falls like london rain/ Nothing heals me like you do
5. U2 'City of Blinding Lights' -- And I miss you, when you're not around. I'm getting ready to leave the ground…
6. Stevie Wonder 'Living for the City' -- I hope you hear inside my voice of sorrow/ And that it motivates you to make a better tomorrow
* And a triumvirate of happy classics: Curtis Mayfield 'Move on Up'; Iggy Pop 'Lust for Life' and Earth, Wind & Fire 'Shining Star'
The Clash 'London Calling' -- Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin/ Engines stop running, but I have no fear*
What we are really missing is The Clash 'London Calling' anybody care to put it up for the masses?* Thanks to
kellinck and
cjmarlowe
