What I really enjoyed about HBP was the extent to which Harry was obsessed with Draco and nobody else cared at all, and I'm thinking, for Ron, considering their history, that's really fucking impressive, and what better way to hide angry!sex than by pretending to be apathetic?

That's brilliant. I was too busy laughing at Harry to really even think about it, but you are totally right.

I've never been able to entirely get into Harry/Draco, but what I love about Ron/Draco is that I think they seem more like equals. And I especially got the sense in HBP that they both view themselves as expendable. Draco has no illusions about his worth overall to Voldemort and Ron not only thinks Harry is more important than him, but thinks he's the least important person in his family.

I think a lot of their hostility towards each other is based on the fact that each of them worries that they are far more like the other one than they are comfortable admitting.

And now I've thought about this too much and have made myself sad. So, I guess in conclusion, Ron and Draco need to have lots of sex to make me feel better.

Doubt away. I have a bad habit of drawing lines and making conclusions that aren't necessarily sane or based in anything resembling reason.

I think I get a lot of those Ron thoughts from the first book. He saw himself being successful in the Mirron of Erised and Dumbledore explained to Harry that Ron has always been overshadowe by his brothers and then I always found it interesting that Ron orchestrated the chess game so that he would be the sacrificed piece. I've always been a bit in awe of that and never thought it got the attention it deserved. He was an 11 year old boy who decided that he was worth sacrificing for a greater cause. That's pretty amazing and speaks a lot to how Ron views himself.

I'm not really that was at all a helpful answer. My brain is all mushy today.

I don't -- I don't see it. I know. It doesn't mean I wouldn't write it, but you'd have to work to convince me. I did, however, see some Blaise/Harry in my foggy vision, it wanted to me invest though and I was cagey. I think after Draco leaves Blaise is in a very bad place. It's not that he didn't know something was wrong, but the sense of not knowing what's happening *now*, I think that's making him crazy, that and the rumours and nobody knows, or nobody's telling, but Blaise knows that Potter knows and Blaise doesn't tend to do violence. How hard do you think it would be for Blaise to "appropriate" some veritaserum -- or not, that's for last resorts and people with no skills. And Potter, well Potter's all torn up because Draco didn't want to kill Dumbledore, but Snape did it, and he's just fucked up like normal, that means he's open to all sorts of things.

Still, Blaise/Ron would be like the ultimate in pretty. Blaise would snark and Ron would be vexed because he'd think Blaise was insulting his intelligence. God, i couldn't write it, because then I'd have to bring Granger in at some point, ew. No. Executive veto.

I had a really hard time buying the threesome but everything else about last night's Nip/Tuck rocked. The woman on the couch was done extremely well particularly the scene in the operating room.

The part that I'm still wondering about is when Hot New Doctor (I know he has a name but his hotness causes my brain to short circuit) was in Christian's office, trying to look at his scar. Christian was dressed all in black and HND was dressed in all white. I have no idea if it even means anything, it's probably the writers trying to make us think HND is the Carver, but it definitely jumped out at me.

There was one picture of Rupert in a white shirt with Gryff tie that was absolutely smouldering. I think it was from PoA, which makes me feel very perverted. I'll have to look for it in the morning.
