I have so much love for [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma and [livejournal.com profile] antheia. And Happy St. Drinking Day, err, St. Patrick's so.

We're going to try something a little different today. I am at a loss for inspiration, so I come to you lot to show me what you think I should turn my hand to now. I have five story titles, but I have no subjects to match them, so, what I require from you lot, in 50/75 words or less, is what's the spin?

Pairing, fandom, rating, summary, theme, improv, opening line, maybe some art *hintfuckinghint* -- in short, tell me what the story is about, based on the title, and maybe I'll write you the whole thing.

Titles to choose from:
* No One Here Gets Out Alive
* 'Til the Wheels Fall Off
* The Heart is Deceitful Above All Else
* Song for the Dumped
* My One True Religion

& heart ; -- but without the spaces.

And then to do the color thing it's except replace the brackets with the other thingy. I dunno how to make'em really big though, I missed that lesson.

Oh my lords of Kobol. I thought my hangover was gonna kill me, but no, it's just you. Please make sure this goes on my epitah, 'Killed by the Slod Pretties!'

Plus, I'm listening to instrumental OK Computer too? Yeesh. The drama is just rampant.

This is clearly an Ocean's 11 Danny/Rusty story, a road trip pre-O11 Danny/Rusty story, an NC-17 rating, lots of sex in motels across the American southwest, with Danny ending up by telling Rusty he's going to ask Tess to marry him and them not speaking again (except through cookies sent to the jail) until that night at the poker game.

what is this BULLSHIT up in here?

uh uh. *snaps whip*

George gets a little tired sometimes, but part of his image is always being on, so he covers it up with a smile and a wink. But some days, he slips.

What? George Clooney doesn't get off days. He's George fucking Clooney. Do you think Cary Grant was allowed 'off days' - yeah, exactly.

Song for the Dumped

Some Lee/Kara, Kara/Anders, Helo/Lee, post-Lay Down Your Burdens, what led to the rift and what followed. The dirtier the better.

'No One Gets Out of Here Alive' sounds like it should be Firefly. Are you a Firefly person? Hmmm I can't remember. If not, Battlestar. Something post-finale, possibly Lee/Helo, captured trying to, um... I dunno. Do something stupidly brave on New Caprica.

And that's all I got.

Okay, this one can definitely be a Zak returns as a Cylon story! I don't know how they'd all react: maybe Bill would believe he's a Cylon and agree with Laura that he has to go out of the airlock. But Lee wouldn't believe, because it's his brother, dammit, and he looks at him and all he can see is the memories of growing up with him. So it'd be Lee and Zak v. Bill, again!

And Kara, well, she'd be a mess!

(Song for the Dumped -- I know you mostly do Obscure Pairings in the HP fandom now, but hey, I bet this could be turned into Severus/Squid just as well.)

It's only after the war's over that they get around to marking Draco's grave, and, looking down at it, Harry has to admit to himself that while he's feeling a lot of things, like grief, and anger, and longing, mostly he's just bitter as all hell.

(Which isn't to say that I have any idea about, you know, the actual *story*.)

Also: I can't remember if you've done any SPN, but 'Til the Wheels Fall Off seems to call for that...

I see this title taking us in two different directions. In one it is a RPS about a snarky Anderson Cooper having to deal with an Oscar special and having to deal with vapid hollywood crowd until George comes to save him.

Or I see it has a title for a very very dark scifi/fantasy (I think HP would work here but I will go with my SG:A). In that the wraith do get back to earth and everyone has to deal.

My One True Religion

In the midst of the second War, as he fights along side his friends Oliver Wood realises that the thing that he missed the most about Hogwarts was Potter. Quidditch was sacred, the Snitch like a Holy Grail but Harry was his one true religion.

I see bodies lying wasted and friend turning on friend...

My One True Religion is probably a Theodore story. It has a feel similar to the last part of Thousandth Man (Wartime, death and dirt all over, but also pristine Pureblood living-rooms, the type that look like no one really lives there) but there's something fundamentally about this story. Maybe because it has a lot of desperate/wrong porn. Or some fantastic twist with the Theodore characterizationb or some other character's characterization.
