Somebody was all, "It's quiet, why is is quiet? This is boring." To which I snark back, "Let it be quiet. Quiet is Zen goddamnit! Quiet is the calm before the wank! Where's my fucking Zen hat motherfuckers?"

Ahem.

a) [livejournal.com profile] issaro has a terribly important poll here that everyone should take. You are required to vote for the Big Wheel. I will not use my influence to slant the poll in my favour -- but if we were electing a president, I bet nobody would care X 100

2) Where is my own personal Helo doll when I need one?

c) [livejournal.com profile] violetsmiles is trying to share some love over here

d) Round these parts we are opening the floor for discussion of Jeremy Piven's Journey of a Lifetime to India. Now, before we go further, I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] bunglegirl that it really chaps things that don't need to be chapped that the people who can afford to pay always get this shit for free. Having said that though, how fucking dorky was he? It was adorable I tell you. He's like dork with an X-factor. Also, Piven + babies = bad for the ovaries.

5) Doesn't the Chief have the cutest nose ever?

6) There's a thingy floating somewhere where you rec a story of your own and then ask other people to rec their work. I think we should cut out all the middle and you just tell me a story you love, yours, somebody elses, not mine.

g) Songs of the day: Bill Withers 'Ain't No Sunshine' and The Clash 'Police on My Back'

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] theantimodel has made two superb soundtracks here for public consumption: White Belts: The Hipster Mix which has Blur! and Prince! And Bowie! and The Getaway Car Mix: Songs to Rob a Bank By which I know all you crack-addled assassin-for-hire-people ([livejournal.com profile] seperis! [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone!) want to be all over. It has Elvis! And Duran Duran! and The Clash! Run. Go. Comment. Enjoy!

Did I forget anything?

But, but! The Radio Flyer! It has a value that lasts long after childhood has been left behind - this very weekend, my sister and I used her Radio Flyer to transport bags of mulch from her car trunk to the backyard. You can't do *that* with a Big Wheel! (Also, I was denied a Big Wheel, as my mother had concerns about their safety. I have no bitterness about this, unlike the Star Wars action figures that I still lust over).

I missed the 9:00 airing of Ari's Indian Adventure, but the midnight showing is waiting for me on my TiVo. When I get home.

Some of the faces Jeremy and everyone elsemade during that "laugh-yoga" thing had me cracking up.

God, I love him.

5) YES.

6) Of mine, I've only really loved Ladybugs (http://luthienlupin.livejournal.com/41080.html).

g) Your listing is alarming me. Numbers or letters? It's weird, but I like it.

FYI, Ari Piven is on the cover of the new Heeb magazine. I can drop a copy in the post for you, if it's unavailable in your area; I just need your address (email me at chicklet_girl713 (at) yahoo (dot) com, only without the sneaky spacing and with the correct symbols and shit).

As for a story I love, I have no links or bookmarks available, because I'm at work. Let's go with a golden oldie, "Demarcation" by [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn, in which Lex is noble (and hot), and Clark is sekritive (and hot), and the ending makes me sigh muchly.

oh I squealed through most of the Piven last night! and when he talks about finding a wife I yelled "I'M HERE, BITCHES!"/. Also GAHD he was RILLY RILLY HOT I dunno there was something about him leaning against the wall thing in the temple that was so shiver-inducing.

I will be over here in my Piven corner, thanks.

He was just so dorky with the scooter and the shirts, good lord, he's just a big boy. The yoga had me hopping up and down I was all YOGA!YOGA!YOGA! ♥ times infinity. When he kept knocking over the piece in the shop I was like, smooth, Ari, real smooth. The only time he started tuning out was the whole craft thing, but I liked when he asked the guy about following his heart or following his art, and the guy was like they mesh right now, but one day....

He wore bright orange pants followed by biker shorts, couldn't start his own scooter, and then got all tetchy when the hotel men had to start it for him. Plus zomg babies. and a continous lack of shirts. The man is adorkable, and next week features monkeys.

I couldn't believe the lack of fashion, it was fantastic. I was like, oh, he didn't take a stylist, Look, Ma, a real man!
