use an "ol" tag to begin the sequence, then an "/ol" tag to finish it - and use an "li" tag (you don't have to use an ending one) for each line item.

example:

<ol>
<li>one
<li>two
</ol>

...yields this:

1. one
   
2. two
   

if you want an unordered list - bullets - use "ul" instead of "ol" (ordered list.

<ul>
<li>one
<li>two
</ul>

...yields this:

• one
  
• two
