First of all, I love Ugly Betty. I have been waiting for this show since upfronts, and it's just as good as I hoped it would be. America Ferrera is amazing, and OMG, it's like The Devil Wears Prada, but with a real girl for a change*. I've kept my eye on America since Real Women Have Curves and she's just so fucking refreshing. I feel this overwhelming urge to write UB fic from the jump which hasn't happened since, err, The O.C.

*No disrespect to Anne Hathaway, but dropping from a size 6 to a size 4 is not my idea of a life-affirming goal.

As for Grey's Anatomy I have never been so fucking disappointed in this show in my entire LIFE.

Whomever wrote this episode deserves to be slathered in honey and locked in a tank with red ants and cockroaches and BEES.

Bailey acting all out of whack all episode and then stepping up to take responsibility for Izzie playing God? HELL FUCKING NO.

Way to just piss all over one of the strongest women characters on TV. How dare they!

What I love about Bailey is her uncompromising ethics; she is not responsible for Izzie acting the fool, she did that all on her own. And now you're saying that Bailey got soft because she had a kid? Nice with the demeaning working women all across the world. Bailey was fine, she got soft when you made her all OOC to try and make Izzie look better. To which I say FUCK YOU!

Also, this George/Callie thing is pissing me off. The bit where he's leading her on, and you're trying to pretend like it's okay?

It's fucking NOT.

She took the flack for Meredith being a home-wrecker and Meredith didn't even THANK her.

Again, GA writers, you suck.

As for Meredith and Shepard, whatever, they've deserved each other since day one.

I love Addison and am thrilled that McSteamy is back. Everyone else can rot.

In conclusion, you don’t even get any points for having Shaft and Julia be Preston's parents.

Asses.

Yes yes yes on "Ugly Betty." I loved last night's episode, and it was so refreshing to me to see a "real" woman in a role like that, instead of a supermodel in glasses. Also, I was happy that the point of the whole ordeal did not end up coming down to giving her a makeover so she could fit into someone else's mold.

It was tremendous. I'm sure her style will evolve with time, but I hope she's always true to herself, which is really what counts. Also, I desperately want to write the Ugly Duckling story for when her braces come off, but then I think that that defeats the purpose, because she really is adorable. And entire too good for her boss, who is clearly going to have to develope a dependency on her.

If McSteamy hadn't come back, I would stop watching. As it is, I'll be watching SPN, flipping back to GA during commercial breaks.

Amen to Ugly Betty! We watched it last night, and while I found it to be a tiny bit predictable (you had to know she would finally quit, and then he would come to his senses, etc...), I really liked the premise behind it. It's a little quirky, which I fear may turn people away from it and leave it in the land of the really fucking good shows that got cancelled (i.e., Kitchen Confidential!) but hopefully it'll catch on 'cause I dig it, yo!

Rondah and I still have the episode with Michael Vartan saved on our TiVo and once in a while we watch it, just so we can see the part where he screams, "YOUR CUISINE IS CA-CA!". It cracks me up every fucking time, without fail!

That show was genius, but unfortunately most people were too stupid to understand it. Bastards.

I have it on DVD, my friend burned them for me, but I need a new DVD player cos mine doesn't read burned DVDs, so I'm a bit SOL because the FUCKWITS AT FOX (like they can hear me if I Caps Lock) haven't put it on DVD.

Bastards.

Pretty much agree with you about every single one of those points. Bailey is APOLOGIZING to Izzie for acting like a fool? She's not responsible for that shit, because no, she could NOT have stoppied Izzie. She could have taken her off the case and it wouldn't have kept Izzie out of Denny's room.

I was SO FUCKING FURIOUS with the last ten minutes of this show. All of these people SUCK except for Addison.

Seriously, the only mistake Bailey made was in not taking Izzie off the case, and even so, that would not have done anything. Other than hiring hospital personnel to keep her away...which woul dhave been, uh, stupid, because Bailey made the mistake of assuming that Izzie would behave like a MATURE NORMAL HUMAN BEING not to mention a RESPONSIBLE DOCTOR. And that's not a mistake she should have to apologize for, you cannot anticipate the crazy!

Yeah, Alex is pretty super awesome. I would love it if he and Addison hooked up. Or he and Callie because OMG GEORGE WTF is wrong with you? "I will love you soonish?" IDIOT. He's dating her to get over Meredith and she so deserves better than that.

I was totally sussing out the Alex/Callie in comments further down. Now that would rock, because he'd be all butch and she'd be like whatever and he'd be like, we should have sex right here and now, and she'd be all, you're not hung up on Meredith's underwear are you? And he'd be all, nah, she's too skinny for me. Plus, I already have my own issues.

I loved the scene where he was all "You and O'Malley. How'd THAT happen?" in that tone of voice that was like "I'd hit that." And she just snaps back, "I don't know, you're a surgeon, how'd THAT happen?"

The only time Callie ever annoyed me was in season 2 when she was all, "George, I gave you my number, why didn't you call me George, when a hot girl gives you your number, you CALL HER, George." I was a little bit "Um, DOWN, girl."

Seriously, you thought I made that up? I don't take THAT much crack, dude. (Josh is smart though, man, killing Marissa AND cage fighting? Uh, that might actually get me watching at least the season premiere.)

Look, Z., obviously you have not suffered a crushing terrible loss like Ryan Atwood, okay? After your girlfriend who you didn't really like all that much to begin with dies in a car accident, WHAT OTHER OPTIONS TO DEAL WITH YOUR GRIEF are you POSSIBLY LEFT WITH other than moving to Mexico and becoming a cage fighter?

I swear, you have no basic understanding of the human mind and the five stages of grief!

I was hesitant to click because I don't like spoilers, but doh, this episode was leaked last week so I already watched it!

Now, I agree with most of this post. Especially the George/Callie thing, because I freaking hate that she-man, and McSteamy being back because everybody looks good wet and he looked even hotter.

See, I like Callie. She's clearly too good for George's indecisive ass; I'll never forgive him for saying he was hanging around to see if he 'maybe' could love her. Love isn't a fucking charity! I think Callie needs to hook up with Alex. Yis.

All, McSteamy is McHotass.

Yes, okay I keep hearing The Office is great, but this is just, Ugly Betty makes you feel good about life. Also, apparently they are re-running the pilot, you have to see it and then you will want to write it too, yis.

This is my dastardly plan.

*quivers with excitement* Also, Alan Dale! *adores him and his pilates-doing self*

Again, GA writers, you suck.

I just read today that one of them is all ticked off that the New York Times quoted one of her blog entries on the front page of the Arts & Leisure section, like whatthefuckever, bitch, you do realize the potential audience for anything on the internet is way bigger than the potential audience for anything in the NYT, right? What an idiot. I don't even watch the show and I hate the writers.

WORD! on both accounts. I loved it when she was all 'MODE?' and he was like 'duh!' and the Versace-lite was sheer brilliance. Betty's boss is an ASS. But he looks good in a suit, what can you do.

And Alan Dale! That made me ridiclously happy, since drowning was no way to send Caleb Nichols off.

I reaaaally loved Ugly Betty and am so happy that there are, like, new shows I like this season. I can't think of a single show last year that I still watch--GA doesn't count because I just jumped on the bandwagon. But this season, so far I've got Studio 60, Heroes and Ugly Betty.

As for GA, well, the highlight for me was seeing Emmett again. Although I actually downloaded the episode last Friday so I really only tuned in again for next week's promos. And dude. I adore Callie (cos I adore Sara Ramirez) and I just KNOW George is going to fuck it up and it angers me. In advance. The McSteamy shot, though. Very, very nice.

I just wanted to share in the Betty love. I haven't been so excited about a show in forever.

I called my mom last night and was like, "I can't believe she wore the shorts, and they looked terrible on her." I noticed her thighs were touching, which is a problem I relate to, but is unheard of in tv land.
