This is my October Frankenstein Mix. Normally, all my songs come with little tidbits about what they mean to me, or what I think of the artists, or some sort of factual information about said artist, but this time I felt like seeing what you thought without my impressions. So, here they are, take what you will, please fill out the poll about what you took, and later, if you want, come back and comment and tell me what you think.

I took the song about Pride, I loved it!! I am a strong believer that pride is a good thing and This song will make me feel good about myself when I bump it :)

The song about Justice, I love Cash and think this is really apt because no one does wrong without knowing some bit of it. That is what this song is about hating where you are, but knowing that you deserve to be there.

There is my two cents

I didn't know about the power of Lyle into a few months ago, but now that I have been indoctrinated I am ALL about the Lyle.

Do you have his Live in Texas? I like his studio stuff, but live he's just tremendous!

You can tell a real artist from a studio artist by how they sound live. There are some people who just don't like playing live and get nervous, but there are other artists that just can't do crap before a live audience. That says a lot, IMO.

Grabbed all the files I didn't have (all but three) filled out the poll, etc. Listening to Lily Allen right now, and loving it a lot.

Unrelated to Frankenmix: I first listened to Matt nathanson after the scene in Telgraph Avenue where Ryan and Seth go to one of his shows. I just got back from seeing my first MN show.

THANK YOU.

MATT! Did you enjoy it? Isn't he fabulous? I so heart Matt. What stories did he tell?

My god, so good! Among other things, he called our crowd a bar mitzvah, he talked about donkey punching, he told us about getting cheated on by one girl with seven different people ("This song is about true love... times seven. Damn.), and read us erotica as an apology for playing new material.

I DID NOT MIND AT ALL.

I sort of wanted to touch his hair? I wonder how it gets that messy.

He was extremely reluctant to play 'Laid', because he figured that everyone would leave afterward. They didn't. He decided to kidnap several girls int he crowd and take them to Utah, where they could be 'ooooold mormons'. After playing with a full band, he came back for a few songs solo.

Faaaaaaabulous. I wanted to make him shower, then take him home to be my Constant Companion.

I took the Lady Sovereign remix just to compare it with the original.

Also, just because I've been wanting to share, you may have heard this but:

Sway - LDN (right-click, save as)

His take on Lily Allens song. I think its funny.

Sorry. Here Sway - LDN. Sendspace was being a bitch last night so I thought I'd see if I could use that instead, but I forgot it was locked.

And yes, we love Lady Sov. Album is out next week and I'm expecting good things!

I know right! I <3 Sway lots. Although 'Download' probably ties with this for awesome funnyness too.

Right, in which case you get a bonus song. A little explanation though.

First we have This is my demo, first song on the album, very good but more with the serious and less with the funny. It does have however, a rather interesting (fun) little skit at the end. In Download we have the song, funny - Sway complaining about downloads as you can probably tell from the title. And then at the end, we have the continuation of the skit. Which adds a whole new level of funnyness to the song.

Enjoy.
