Dearest [livejournal.com profile] yuletide Santa:

I'm sure there are lots of things I could hope to see in my story -- humor, crack, Best Friends Foreva!, more humor, slash, sarcasm, gen, humor, crack, friendship -- but the fact of the matter is that I'm pretty easy to please. I write lots of things, and I enjoy even more. The best thing you could do is to write me a story that *you* enjoyed writing, because those are the sorts of stories that always seem to turn out the best. I don't want you to feel like OMG how will I ever do this? It should be a fun experience, so, if you like it, chances are I will too.

Regards,
[livejournal.com profile] hackthis

Dear The O.C.,

I gave you a one-time reprieve, because GA's been an ass lately, and well, [livejournal.com profile] torchthisnow said it best: I DIDN'T EVEN HATE MINICOOP. I KIND OF LOVED HER. SHE'S ALREADY MORE INTERESTING THAN MARISSA EVER WAS. SHE HAS MINIONS. I AM DOWN WITH ANYONE WHO HAS MINIONS.

Sweet Jesus gay. I need to go lie down.

We'll see, Joshua. We'll see.

x,
Me

ETA: Catlin, or Kaitlin, whatever the child's name, is will henceforth be referred to by me as Mini Cooper (TM), because yeah, she actually is kind of awesome. If you steal that shit I want credit.

Dear Ugly Betty,

The Special Guest Star was just hotass. Wow. And also, Vanessa L. Williams is the best evil villain ever. She's the kind of evil that shows you that hey, evil has reasoning. She should've been doing this years ago.

x,
me

Dear Friday,

I am SO glad you are here, because you bring Tahmoh. Even if his hair is all kinds of unfortunate now. I know a really good stylist who can sort that out in no time.

xxxxxx,
me

I was watching the O.C. during the commericials for Supernatural and I saw Summer being adorable, Seth and Ryan being angsty and adorable, Julie Cooper being awesome, and other things that looked fun. I might have to start watching again. Damn it!

See, you know, it's been about two seasons since I'd seen it so all the regulars annoyed the crap out of me -- but the new people are awesome! Especially Mini Cooper and her minions. Oh, bother. I am really loving them.

Anyone with minions is fundamentally awesome (and also anyone who's name is so like the cutest car ever). I order people around at work and they pretend to do what I say, but it's really not the same thing. Maybe if I'm really good, one day, like Mini Cooper, I can have minions too.

I just thought of the Mini Cooper thing, but she is kind of awesome in this way. Wow, I had no idea. Huh.

No, really - can Salma be on my tv screen every week? Can we make that happen?

Dude, when she took off her shirt my eyes were like, um, DAMN.

It's like she's the thing Eddie Izzard talked about: a woman made of breasts. JESUS.

Also, have you seen the new shots from Bond? Like this one, and this one (http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/Action/Casino_Royale/casinoroyale50.jpg), and this one (http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/Action/Casino_Royale/casinoroyale39.jpg), and this one (http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/Action/Casino_Royale/casinoroyale32.jpg)? 'Cos, hi. (http://www.comingsoon.net/gallery/Action/Casino_Royale/casinoroyale51.jpg)

I think the best part is that MiniCoop also did more in this episode than Marissa did in three seasons. And obviously, Kaitlin has about as many problems as Marissa did, but she deals with them in a more fun way - ie, blackmailing, smoking pot, making her minions do her lab reports. She's the way Marissa SHOULD have been from the beginning, instead of just a black hole of vodka soaked despair and whinging.

And shockingly enough, Willa Holland actually is a better actress than Mischa Barton. Which...is kind of like saying that Britney is less trashy than Anna Nicole, but I do think she did a pretty good job with some tricky stuff last night.

She shows, *gasp*, emotion. Like she was actually pained when she saw, her, um, step-father (?, I don't know who that dude is, so you know I'm just inserting random ideas here) cheating. I think Josh realises this is how Marissa should've been and bringing Mini Cooper home was his way of doing a revamp of the original concept.

At least I hope so, but we've been known to give him way too much credit so.

Yep, that's her stepfather. Apparently Julie married Summer's dad last season. Man, I love Julie. And see, Marissa would have gone to Ryan and agonized, "I don't know if I should TELL her, it's so HARD, it could RIP MY FAMILY APART, oh GOD, I need a DRINK, hold me and tell me I'm a PRETTY PRETTY PRINCESS." Whereas MiniCoop just recognized, "My mom can't take this shit right now. But I can at least get something out of it." Which is much more interesting to see on screen.

I know. We haven given him WAY too much credit, but this seems fairly obvious to me, so I'm going to hold out hope for at least the next three episodes.

SGS was *so* hotass. And Vanessa is fanfuckingtastic in this show. But more important than my agreeing with you is that I need you to explain to me how I've become a Daniel/Amanda shipper. How'd that happen?

Isn't my house classic? The columns date all the way back to 1972.

She's a total Monet.

I am SO glad you are here, because you bring Tahmoh. Even if his hair is all kinds of unfortunate now. I know a really good stylist who can sort that out in no time.

In the same recap that mentioned the "fanon declares Racetrack secretly loves Helo, and the actors agree!" thing, Jacob mentioned that Tahmoh hates him. I couldn't figure out why until I remembered that Jacob took Helo to task for that outdated Caesar haircut, so I figure that's the area of contention. Which is stupid, because Jacob (and you, and me!) are totally right.

I kinda really liked The OC season premiere.

Also, I feel like a total perv for having dirty Ryan/Julie thoughts.
