I was discussing the level of 'going to hell' that's happening here with a friend and I was all and this is totally how the story would go.

N: Mom loves you best, you know.
P: Yeah, but dad loves you best
N: Loved, Pete, loved.
P: No, he loves you, he just
N: You do remember the part where he commited suicide, because he probably found I was going to have him arrested right?
P: You were doing the right thing, nobody can fault you for that.
N: Arresting your dad is the right thing?
P: Look at Lex.
N: I thought we agreed that you weren't going to bring up Lex anymore.
P: You were friends
N: Yeah, and that worked out real well. He's obsessed with Superman and --
P: You're still jealous
N: I am NOT jealous.
P: I love you best if that helps
N: ...
P: More than mom
N: Peter
P: And dad.
P: Or anybody else.

Wow. Just a whole lot of wow. I'm going to need a while to process the image of Nathan and Lex as friend and also the awesomeness of what Nathan's expression would be when Peter says he loves him best of all because he'd be really happy, but try not to show it, so there'd be like a little half smirk and a roll of the eyes and it would be awesome.

I can't wait to read it!

Did we ever find out how much older Nathan is than Peter? He has to be at least 10 years older I'm thinking.

They've never explicited said how far apart they are. It's implied that they both lived at home at the same time for at least a little bit, but the show has also seemed to try to keep actor's characters about the same age as the actors who are playing them and Adrien and Milo are 12 years apart, so 10 seems reasonable. I don't think it's too much more than 10 though because in the initial conception of the characters, Peter and Nathan were twins, but then they decided that made me Peter too pathetic, so they switched it too older brother/litter brother.

And that was a very long answer to a simple question. Sorry about that :)

I think I posted somewhere that Lex would actually be very jealous of Nathan because Nathan has the political career and he can fly, heee!
