Ferrari has a new car, limited release, called the Enzo in honor of their founder. If you don’t understand the beauty of this car, maybe you’ll appreciate the $600,000 price tag.
Lex would fucking die for this car. They’re only making 349, total.
It makes me sad that I already wrote the ‘Clark and Lex do the car show’ fic. Jesu Cristo.
From the Start
I know the mistakes that I made/ See it all disappear without a trace/ And they call as they beckon you on/ They say start as you mean to go on
From the start it was never going to be easy, but problems are for other people. If a Malfoy can’t go around it, over it, under it, or through it – simply blow it up.
Nothing can stop a Malfoy with an agenda.
Draco has always been taught that he was impervious, that there is nothing he can’t have if he wants it badly enough.
+++
He never even had a chance his first year. Draco doesn’t believe in fate, but she obviously believes in him. She obviously didn’t consider him good enough for her beloved Boy.
If Draco had moved a bit faster, gone on without Crabbe when he insisted he use the loo first. Done whatever, he would’ve gotten to Potter first.
He truly believes this.
+++
His second year, he had planned to try again. To give Potter a second chance. It went up in smoke when Potter never even caught the bloody train to school.
Draco was so vexed at having his starting initiative waylaid in that manner that he tossed the whole thing out the window.
Sod Harry Potter.
+++
The summer between his fourth and fifth years, Draco decided to change his tack. He didn’t need to come to Harry Potter, Potter would come to him – and he did.
Just not in the way that Draco was expecting.
+++
In the summer leading up to his final year Draco faced up to the truth. His future held nothing but Harry Potter, but it would be his choice whether Harry was his ending or his beginning.
His final year was his last chance. Getting off the train was Draco's last start, however he decided to go on.

New Year’s Resolutions are for people who feel the need to change. Lex doesn’t need to change. No, he’s not perfect – not yet, but LexCorp will exist on more that paper very soon; and Lex doesn’t need to make resolutions.
If he wants something, he makes it happen; and Lex has everything he’ll ever want sitting in his office doing Chemistry homework. Sixteen going on twenty-six, and Clark needs to learn how to sit up straight when he’s at a desk. If he’s not careful his spine will go crooked.
Lex knows all about crooked, he knows all about straight. He’s done a lot of veering back onto that narrow path since he’s come to Podunk, Kansas. Some of it has been because he’s wanted to. Some of Lex’s changes have been inspired by other things, not that Clark is a thing, but he can be very inspirational without even trying.
Lex isn’t ashamed of his past, but it has no place in his future. Lex’s future is with Clark, but first he has to be worthy of him. First, Lex has to make sure everything is right. He has to toss out the old habits and create new ones, start things fresh so that Clark will have the best.
There will only be one new beginning.

This sounds vaguely familiar...

That is so perfect. I don't even have the words.
2. Lovely, lovely. Excellent characterization. Clark does indeed deserve the best, and Lex is so the one to give it to him.
(...heh. give it to him.)
