Point A: Last night I dreamt about Matt Saracen. He was a good boyfriend. Really. Not great, but definitely good. And he had stubble. Also, I liked last night's FNL. Not loved, but liked. More importantly though
musesfool linked me to this awesome post by
hesychasm where she talks about a GQ article comparing Heroes and FNL. Heroes being what American society wants to see itself as (helpful, special, making a difference) and FNL being where American society really is (bleak, a little selfish, kind of depressed, not nearly as pretty as it wishes it were). Rock the fuck on GQ. Who knew. I need this article in full.
Point B: Today kinda suxxors, but I am getting through with the healing power of The Notorious B.I.G's Greatest Hits and Defamer.
My love affair with
defamer_atom is pretty legendary since they (along with
ethrosdemon and
serialkarma) helped spawn The Incredibly True Adventures of Four Stars, Two Actors In Love, and One Gay Landmark.
Sometimes when Defamer talk about George people want to know if *I'm* writing for them -- sadly the answer is no. But I know one of you lot is, because there's NO other way they would come up with headers like this one: Howard K. Stern And Larry Birkhead Put Aside Their Differences For One Night Of Slashfic Passion on their own.
I love you Defamer. Mad, mad love. ♥
Point C:: I have vowed to write Psych AND Mohinder/Sylar for the Dark Lord known as
slodwick. Does it smell like the apocalypse to anybody else?

Also, I didn't see you mention this, so I thought you might not have seen it (from the

Although I should have known it was old(ish) news -- I'm always late to the really good stuff.
And those VF party pictures are hilarious. Sendhil's all, "It's fun drinking having to drink ice water because our set call-time is 6:00 a.m.!" I second the motion that Adrian's thoughts are, "Hello, I'm Adrian Pasdar, and these are my bitches."

As for the second half of that statement, well, you totally get the gold star for the day, because HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Can I be one of your bitches, Adrian? Please?!!

Date: 2007-03-07 02:08 pm (UTC)There's so much I love about it. It is both silly and laugh-making, but that's not all. I love that this is such an interesting move for Dule, who went from being a generally sober and always-mature-and-upstanding guy character to a smart, amusing sidekicky kind of guy who gets to play for laughs almost all the time. It really shows how much range he is trying to work with, and he's gotten better at being funny as the season progressed.
I love Corbin Berenson and how freaking *scary* he is as a dad, and how that is really mixed with a deep love and growing appreciation for his son. Now that he's retired he's reassessing things in his life, and he obviously wants a better relationship with his son, and he secretly is proud of Shawn for taking up the mystery-solving, crime-foiling career he had. I love that he feels comfortable enough, and is forcing Shawn to be comfortable with this too, with Shawn, that he can tell him things that he never would have told him before.
I love that he was going to buy Shawn's motorcyle for him, and then you totally know he was going to lock it away in the garage so he couldn't use it and so he wouldn't bang his head on the pavement again. That's love, man. it's fucked up corbin berenson love, but it is so love.
And I love Shawn! I love that Shawn has grown obviously in the season we've seen him in, because he's holding down a job, and he's using his skillz, and he is with his Man Husband all of the time, which is really all he could ever ask for, he of the low expectations. I love that he has allowed himself to be real with his dad, and not just flippant; that their relationship is growing into something positive for both of them and not just sniping. I love that Shawn goes to his dad for problems, and drops all the pretense he uses with everyone else. He's *real* with his dad. And Gus, his Man Husband.
And I love that we see the difference between real!shawn and psychic!shawn.
I just. Love. So much.
