Point A: Last night I dreamt about Matt Saracen. He was a good boyfriend. Really. Not great, but definitely good. And he had stubble. Also, I liked last night's FNL. Not loved, but liked. More importantly though [livejournal.com profile] musesfool linked me to this awesome post by [livejournal.com profile] hesychasm where she talks about a GQ article comparing Heroes and FNL. Heroes being what American society wants to see itself as (helpful, special, making a difference) and FNL being where American society really is (bleak, a little selfish, kind of depressed, not nearly as pretty as it wishes it were). Rock the fuck on GQ. Who knew. I need this article in full.

Point B: Today kinda suxxors, but I am getting through with the healing power of The Notorious B.I.G's Greatest Hits and Defamer.

My love affair with [livejournal.com profile] defamer_atom is pretty legendary since they (along with [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon and [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma) helped spawn The Incredibly True Adventures of Four Stars, Two Actors In Love, and One Gay Landmark.

Sometimes when Defamer talk about George people want to know if *I'm* writing for them -- sadly the answer is no. But I know one of you lot is, because there's NO other way they would come up with headers like this one: Howard K. Stern And Larry Birkhead Put Aside Their Differences For One Night Of Slashfic Passion on their own.

I love you Defamer. Mad, mad love. ♥

Point C:: I have vowed to write Psych AND Mohinder/Sylar for the Dark Lord known as [livejournal.com profile] slodwick. Does it smell like the apocalypse to anybody else?

I have never been this cold on someone I was preparing to write, possibly because Sylar scares the PISS out of me *hides behind Nathan*. Gus and Shawn though -- Shawn is just this babbling fool in my ear and Gus's eyes are getting stuck from all the eye rolling. *is ded of adorable*

Dude, Gus is the BEST. I love the way he's completely exasperated by Shawn in private, and yet, in front of other people, he totally goes with the whole scam. ♥

Sylar's not that bad, dude. HE IS JUST MISUNDERSTOOD.

Misunderstood. Misunderstood. Are you going to share what you're smoking with the rest of the class?

Also, re: Gus, it's because he is supporting his man. United front and all that.

I am a very recent convert, like maybe in the last month or so. Of course it would happen right before it goes on hiatus. This is very sad making.

I love you Defamer. Mad, mad love.

I do, too! But I decided not to access them at work anymore because of the occasional topless-female shot, so sometimes it's, like, two days until I read it again. I'm hooked on the Hollywood Privacywatch posts.

Also, I didn't see you mention this, so I thought you might not have seen it (from the [livejournal.com profile] boy_touching post I mentioned this week).

Apparently, LJ won't let you use Scrapbook to post a picture within a comment, so: A link to my LJ!

This is one of my favorite pictures ever. Have I never shown it to you before? [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 introduced me to it back in the day (Nov) when we both first got on the Petrelli train and she was trying to mobilize a joint Heroes RPS force. It's kind of hard to ignore it when people are all 'And then they were at a hockey game with Adrian's son!' and 'then they were at the VF post-Oscars party too! (http://community.livejournal.com/mutantboysrock/28303.html)'

Have I never shown it to you before?

I'm pretty sure you haven't, because I THINK I WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THAT. *g*

Although I should have known it was old(ish) news -- I'm always late to the really good stuff.

And those VF party pictures are hilarious. Sendhil's all, "It's fun drinking having to drink ice water because our set call-time is 6:00 a.m.!" I second the motion that Adrian's thoughts are, "Hello, I'm Adrian Pasdar, and these are my bitches."

Rule #1 for all Hollywood agents is never let your client be seen with a drink in his hand, so you know he probably grabbed that water from someone at the last moment. As for the second half of that statement, well, you totally get the gold star for the day, because HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Can I be one of your bitches, Adrian? Please?!!

I am ALL OVER Point C. For serious. Bring on the Shawn/Gus snark.

I haven't seen the latest episode, but I kind of feel like Matt Saracen would be the most boring boyfriend ever.

I feel like there was an issue when Shawn got his bike, becaus Gus didn't want to ride the bitch seat. Have they talked about this on the show and I've just missed the episode?

Shawn's always had the bike, so that conversation probably happened before the series started. Followed by sex.

Gus would be way not into riding the bike. He'd be like "Do you know what can happen on those things?" backed up by endless stats. You know how he rolls.

You love it because it is happy. And silly. And it makes you laugh. 'You' meaning me here naturally, it's the only thing that makes me laugh. I am so sad it is gone now that I have found it -- curses!

I was so, so disappointed that the Halloween episode was the last of the season! But we're getting it back in July, which is awesome.

There's so much I love about it. It is both silly and laugh-making, but that's not all. I love that this is such an interesting move for Dule, who went from being a generally sober and always-mature-and-upstanding guy character to a smart, amusing sidekicky kind of guy who gets to play for laughs almost all the time. It really shows how much range he is trying to work with, and he's gotten better at being funny as the season progressed.

I love Corbin Berenson and how freaking *scary* he is as a dad, and how that is really mixed with a deep love and growing appreciation for his son. Now that he's retired he's reassessing things in his life, and he obviously wants a better relationship with his son, and he secretly is proud of Shawn for taking up the mystery-solving, crime-foiling career he had. I love that he feels comfortable enough, and is forcing Shawn to be comfortable with this too, with Shawn, that he can tell him things that he never would have told him before.

I love that he was going to buy Shawn's motorcyle for him, and then you totally know he was going to lock it away in the garage so he couldn't use it and so he wouldn't bang his head on the pavement again. That's love, man. it's fucked up corbin berenson love, but it is so love.

And I love Shawn! I love that Shawn has grown obviously in the season we've seen him in, because he's holding down a job, and he's using his skillz, and he is with his Man Husband all of the time, which is really all he could ever ask for, he of the low expectations. I love that he has allowed himself to be real with his dad, and not just flippant; that their relationship is growing into something positive for both of them and not just sniping. I love that Shawn goes to his dad for problems, and drops all the pretense he uses with everyone else. He's *real* with his dad. And Gus, his Man Husband.

And I love that we see the difference between real!shawn and psychic!shawn.

I just. Love. So much.
