After much badgering and harassment (sorry about the restraining orders) I have embarked upon yet another attempt to view Naked!Adrian Pasdar Baaaaaaaaby Daddy! Profit. I have found upon my second viewing of the pilot -- during which I actually managed to sit and watch the whole thing (for a change) -- that perhaps I was a bit hasty in my preliminary dismissal of the show as some sort of 90's abomination of bad fashion, worse CGI, and whatever did they do to Adrian's HAIR?

I mean the fashion is still horrid, and the CGI would give Peter Jackon a coronary, but, um, yes, there certainly is something to be said for Jim Profit. Namely: I would SO hit that. barely_bean, clearly you know my type better than I do.

I am not saying Profit is the shit (at least not yet), but perhaps it should not be dismissed so summarily with the amount of naked!Adrian on the screen.

The show really does get better the farther you get into it, although the fashion and CGI remain abominations. Just concentrate on the naked, that's what I do!

Yay!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad you watched. And I honestly think it gets better as it goes on. They tone down a lot of style stuff and they start really developing a lot of the other characters, and it's end up like a very dark greek farce.

And it also has some genuinely cool woman characters. Not the one your supposed to like, but both Bobbi and Gail are pretty awesome.

Profit is fun to watch from a distance, but Nathan is someone you could totally snuggle un too. He would grumble about it at first and never admit that he liked it, but Nathan totally enjoys a good snuggle...

I did this \o/ when I first saw this. The whole thing is amazing and fucked up and I still can't believe it was ever on television. And Jim, I mean, I don't think he's necessarily a sociopath you know. He's just-- goal-driven. And you're a women that understand goals, so I figured you guys would get along.

You were right. I was wrong. I don't know how I could have fought it, Caro, really. I started watching it the second time and I was all 'They're not seriou-- oh, wait did he just get everybody fired? Oh wait, did he just kill his dad?! Ohhh, Mr. Profit.' I see how Gail got sucked in. And no, I have no read Lenore's story, but I am now all over it. *hugs* I shall not doubt the Caro again. Yis.
