ETA: When I said 'my' baby daddy, I mean yours. Not mine. Mine is spelled Adrian Matthew Pasdar-Damon. I like the hyphenate. I also like smart men. Who look good in suits. And some times lederhosen -- but that's another story for another day.

Date: 2007-09-20 10:01 pm (UTC)The premise is pretty cheesy- a Dutch soldier is mortally wounded when he saves a native American girl furing an attack on her tribe/village. The elders perform an "ancient spell" to grant him immortality until he finds his true love.
(Okay, I admit at this point I'm a bit pissed at this whole mystical indian cliche, but these are my own personal issues here.)
Fast forward 400 years, and John Amsterdam is a NYC homicide detective (and okay, this is where I'm already thinking about possible crossovers...) and apparently in the pilot he's partnered with a new detective and then when they apprehend a suspect, he has a heart attack. So now he's trying to figure out who his "true love" is, and all.
It sounds really cheesy, but I'm holding on to the hope that it could be good. Nik is lovely and charming, and I think he's due for his North American break.
