c. If you could convince me to write any Iron Man story, what would you want to see? No, I will not pair up Tony/Pepper. IMO, they work better just the way they are. However, I am succeptible to giving Tony a boyfriend*, I just haven't found one that works for me. Convince me.

*ETA: Smoking hot one night stand also welcome.

My standard answer to anyone needing a boyfriend is Ianto, but sadly, Ianto really wouldn't work because I think he'd end up shooting Tony and he and Pepper would probably be very snippy with each other and no one would have much fun.

The problem is that Tony needs someone to keep him out of trouble who also won't shoot him, and I really think that list is kind of small. Michael Weston? He's patient and would be good at keeping Tony out of trouble and would probably only shoot him in non-vital areas if he ever got annoyed with him.

Did we talk about Tony/Chuck? I remember having that conversation. It would be really cute and Chuck could possibly pout at Tony into behaving.

This needs more thought.

Though after seeing some of the comics, I'm starting to think that Captain America is the only boy for Tony.

The probably with Chuck was Bryce dearest. At this point I will settle for a really smoking hot one night stand though. But yes, I do agree that Captain America is the only man for Tony, problem is I haven't ever read it. Or seen it... Matt Damon...

I would be totally prepared to pair Rodney McKay from SGA with Tony, because of the brain factor but then my own brain shudders in horror at the picture they make.

There's always Jack Carter from Eureka, he who is Sheriff of a town filled to the brim with disgruntled geniuses who blow crap up reguarly. Of course I'm pretty sure everyone and their dog will be hopping on this one right away because the other main character there is Nathan Stark.

Or you know, he could probably come up with a metric ton of jokes about Mr. Fantastic or The Invisible Girl or well, okay the entire Fantastic 4 team would be fodder for him really.

Tony Stark and Logan would work if you consider the comic canon. Logan joins the New Avengers due to um, possible monetary benefits that Stark kind of implied would be involved because Tony wants anything that would make Steve (Captain America) happy.

Well, there's Seth who wants to write movies about superheroes and is an intern, and it's so, so, so wrong in at least twelve different ways.

Then there's Bryce, who Tony swears must be a secret agent or somebody who used to work with/for/near Rhodey, because Rhodey gets all still and weird when Bryce is in the same room.

And, of course, the on-off thing with Jack Bourdain. It's fun and Jack cooks almost as well as Tony's personal chef, and they used to have the best parties.

I had this long post about how Harry Osborn (movie) would have made an awesome boyfriend to Tony Stark, unfortunately LJ sucks ass and deleted by accident. So, dot points rather than long essay.

- Tony and Harry are sons of ‘great’ and ‘powerful’ men; they would have hung around the same social circle, though Tony would have been the older and more successful son. Harry would have been fascinated and slightly jealous of Tony, because Tony Stark is awesome, and no one calls him boy in fear of waking up in the morning to discover their company have undergone a corporate takeover by Stark Industries.

- Harry is jealous, Tony is amused and couldn’t really care for the boy. They meet, they snark (Harry never gets the upperhand), Tony provides suggestions on women, money and sex. Harry seethes and starts obsessing over Peter Parker. They don’t see each other often.

- The spiderman movie happens, Harry angst, the 2nd movie happens, Harry gets obsessive and murderous, the third movie people hand waves, and then IM movie happens. And Harry is all “WTF does EVERYTHING goes right for you!” Blah, blah, blah, angst! And decides to kill IM in a fit of rage. Tony is no longer amused though he is slightly interested by the Green suit, technology and serum.

- They talk, well Harry rages, Tony lifts an eyebrow, there is some violence, which leads to storming out of mansions, then it eventually leads to sex.

- Except Harry REFUSES to leave Stark’s house, start infringing on Tony’s space, and wants the technology to power himself up in the hope of killing Spiderman.

- They are in a relationship, kind of, Tony attempts to ignore him, Harry throws a fit, there is sex. Repeat. Till Peter Parker joins the Avengers, and it is like a bitch fight.

Or you can write about Ari making RDJ dresses like Tony Stark for sex. Well, not real physical sex, so much as viewing RDJ as Tony Stark having sex with other people because Ari loves Mrs Ari and would never actully cheat on her for fear of getting a butter knife to little Ari, but being voyeur because it is like free porn. And Mrs Ari doesn't mind the porn since she figures it is probably moer sanitary than some of the people Ari do business with.

I'm completely incapable of writing fictional texts. It has been proven on many occasions with some truly horrendous writing; however, I do like to have my imagination run wild. I have whole scenes in my head of Harry ‘flirting’ with Tony, which usually involves questions of, “So, would your suit survive a nuke to the face?” and so forth. And when Peter starts taking up Tony’s time because Peter is an intelligent scientist Harry would be all like, “Fucking HOMEWRECKER! First you take away my father, then my girlfriend, and now you are taking my MAN! DIE!” to Spiderman, because for some fucked unknown reason Harry won’t cross that line of targeting Peter, but Spiderman is a bitch. Tony attempts to stop the fight only to be sent legal suits to pay for property damage Iron Man have done to Tony eventually gets Harry professional help. There is this superhero psychologist in the Marvel universe, I just can’t remember his name.

For the life of me I just can't see Ari cheating on Mrs. Ari, but he obviously wants RDJ, so Ari/RDJ voyeurism is the only solution! And you know, RDJ wearing Tony Stark is all sorts of hot and Ari knows a good thing when he sees one. And he may just make some sex tapes for Mrs. Ari for when she discovers the whole thing because Mrs. Ari always knows.

I have obviously thought about this way too much.
