How exactly does *that* work?

I have not been out in almost five days, I mean like out clubbing out, not like out out. Odd. Premiere season is kicking my ass. Caught Batman on VH1 last night and nearly broke something important with the gayness of it all. I mean this can’t possibly be for children – I know Kass adores Batnut, but heh. Dude, this particular episode had Liberace! And between Bruce and Dick and Liberace, that’s more gay than Pride.

Overheard on the telly while looking for something in fridge: ’You must be a virgin, nobody this organized ever had time for sex. Is this why my apartment has been so neat recently? Shit.

I’m supposed to write het (falls over foaming at the mouth) for
ethrosdemon but she isn’t even HERE to appreciate it… and yet she still wants me to write it. That’s messed up ::pauses:: but I’m gonna do it anyway cos she asked.
Two for One: Everybody Wants Something
Good girls like bad boys – except that Draco Malfoy isn’t bad; he’s awful. He’s cruel and loathsome. He’s insolent and rude and arrogant, and should be as thick as Crabbe and Goyle together, but he’s not.
It drives Hermione insane.
In a just world Draco shouldn’t have it all, but he does, and Hermione shouldn’t be drawn to that, but she is. The wrongness of it all makes Hermione want to break her wand over his head and stuff it in places it’s not meant to go. As hard as she works to be first in their class, he doesn’t even seem to break a sweat to come in second. He’s still first in Potions, and she hates the fact that she’s not.
Hermione hates the fact that Snape favours the Slytherins and everyone knows it. Hermione hates the fact that she can respect Draco for being smart even though she knows he’s an enormous prat who’s spoiled and rotten.
It’s so easy for her to hate him, but hate is so close to so many other things; and Hermione loathes Draco with a fiery passion that she reserves for injustice and indentured house elves and Ron’s girlfriends.
Draco insults her and teases her. He slights her family and her looks and her friends, but he’s smart. And he’s not that bad looking, and Hermione can’t help but be drawn to that.
Brains and looks, and just because Hermione hates him doesn’t mean she’s not attracted to him.
Good girls know better.

Bad girls like bad boys, and Draco Malfoy thinks he’s bad. Ginny knows she is. She doesn’t need black clothes and dyed hair. She doesn't need a stupid diary when one arrogant sixteen year-old boy is as good as another.
Ginny doesn’t have to hide what everyone is too blind to see.
Plain sight works just fine.
Draco thinks he’s better than she is, but Ginny knows better. His blood is just as red as hers and when she cuts him, he’ll bleed. She’ll make him bleed. Draco is weak -- he’s all book smarts and inflated airs – but he thinks he’s strong.
She’ll humour him for right now.
Draco doesn’t have what it takes, but he thinks he does, and that’s what Ginny will use to her advantage. Draco thinks that money is what’s important. He doesn’t remember that Tom was poor once too. Draco thinks that being a Weasley automatically makes Ginny kind; that being a Gryffindor automatically makes her brave. Draco doesn’t think that Ginny knows about deception, he doesn’t think she can be manipulative. Draco doesn’t know about Tom. Ginny knows about Tom.
Draco thinks he’s doing Ginny a favor. Ginny knows otherwise.
Ginny is a bad girl stuck inside a good girl facade, but she’ll shed her skin one day. She knows that unlike most bad boys, bad girls tend to be the real thing:
They play for keeps and win in the end.

Date: 2002-10-04 02:16 pm (UTC)I just wanted to tell you that your writing is amazing. Wow. I love your Ginny. And your Hermione... Just the emotions behind both.
Can I add you to my friends so I can stalk you? :)

Date: 2002-10-04 02:47 pm (UTC)I was at your site and read your HP fic 'Neither Here nor There' and I have to say wow.
I just love your, Everything could end with a whimper and a bang or a fizzle and a kiss. Draco can see how it all could end with Dark Marks and love burned into his skin; and there’s a voice that whispers there’s nothing he can do about it – that good will win in the end.
Wow.

But is one as *good* as Draco has to be? I am dirty and wrong, ok, but I loved this line.
Um, is this your version of Ginny Sue, because I could love you. You, me and Rabbit, the world at our feet and Draco in chains?

Oh, you just are too wonderful.
Why do yuo resist the girls? You do them up so good. Rrrrrrrrrwr.

Niiiiiice. Like that. Also, am identifying a lot with Hermione here. A lot.
Evil!Ginny rocks my socks, and you did a great job with her here. Bravo. ::claps::
