A note to self post.

I am super duper def blow out crazy busy at the moment, which means I cannot write as much as I want/need/require. Thusly I have backlog of ideas I haven't been able to process.

Normally I'm pretty good about knowing what stories I want to write, you know, since I *want* to write them and there only tend to be two or three really sticky ones at any given time. At the moment, however, I've taken to post-its and comments in other people's LJs (Sorry, Q!)to keep track and I just can't carry on like that. So, for my own edification:

1. Forever is a Mighty Long Time. Reincarnation!Merlin. Summary: You always know where you stand with walls. The same cannot be said for people. People are born, they live, they die. Walls, at least for a proper building, they don't move. You don't have to wait for them to come back.

2. Get Some. GK HS AU. I believe thisisbone is responsible for this title. Hey, it only took me three months to capitulate. Some people have to work me for YEARS to get what they want.

3. Boys in Lust and Stupidity: a Story in Spring Time. Merlin. The title is pretty self explanatory. And there will be sex. Copious amounts of it. And also allergies. And possibly flowers in somebody's hair, I dunno yet.

4. I'll Put Us Back Together at Heart. Merlin AU. Merlin as the prince of Camelot, Arthur is his manservant. Yes, that title came to me today when I was listening to the 80s station, because I am an 80s baby and if you're too young to know where it comes from, please don't tell me.

Oh god, my head hurts just looking at this list. Dear Buddha, please do not let all of these be more than 100 pages combined. I know, I laugh at me too, but if I could get just one of these to beta, by like, next week Friday (no, not that GK one, that's a real project), that would be fucking AWESOME.

I would love to be able to sit down and work on one of these, but writing this post is the most time I've had to write all week, which you know, DAMN! The Reincarnation one has been waiting the longest. Okay, that's not true, people have been haranguing me about the GK AU one for three months. Have you see it yet, it's airing on FX on Sunday's on your side of the pond, just saying. Um, right. I think the spring one will be the most fun, but the Prince!Merlin AU one could end up eating me whole, so I'm trying to put a cap on it. That was prolly want too much info for you, huh? As you can see I'm in a bit of a bind.

Also, I wrote Arthur as a movie star! Did you read it? It was awesome. It had Ari. I'm just saying :D

LOL! I wish I could say I could write it on demand, but that doesn't seem to be the case. If it helps, I know exactly how it goes and what will happen, it's just putting it down that causes the pause. It's a lot of story.

I have time that I tend to think of as "writing time". For the last three weeks that's been non-existent. I would like to say it will get better, but frankly I don't know that it will.

100 pages is actually me being conservative. Blaggers was almost 70 pages in word. The GK AU, is probably going to be there just on its own. The Reincarnation story could be 10 pages. Or 25. The Prince AU could be 10 or 30. I always seem to underestimate these things. It's why my beta just laughed at me.

I only do To Write List when I've lost control of my notes altogether. I generally do 60% of my writing to-do lists (sometimes more), so the odds are in my favor that I should be able to write at least two of these Merlin stories. The GK story is just, it's too fucking big, it's why I keep putting it aside.

All of those ideas sound pretty fucking amazing, IMHO. The Boys in Lust sounds extra great to me, but that's just because boys+pollen+flowers+sex= SEX POLLEN in my mind. That's probably not where you're going with it at all, but whatever. Merlin needs more cliche sex-pollen fics.
