My muses are cockblocking each other. I can’t believe this shit, why can’t they all just get along and let me read Firefly porn in peace? Oh, right, cos I can’t find any more Firefly porn. Somebody wanna point me please?
Jane is a Girl
I have zero shame and have only watched two episodes cos I got preempted last week, stupid baseball. I blame this Jayne cos she has this icon. I could be really wrong, so I expect y’all to tell me.
The first guy to call Jayne a girl ended up with his head in the head.
Well, it wasn’t really in the head, because Jayne just kinda cracked his noggin on the seat of the toilet, but Scott O’Malley sucked carbon fumes and he got what he deserved. And looking back on it, Jayne kinda wonders how he got all the way to third year without somebody else calling him a sissy. Of course it might’ve had to do the wanted poster on his brother or the bounty on his dad, or it might’ve just had to do with his mouth.
Jayne has always been good with threats.
Of course, Scott O’Malley didn’t know that. He was a year older and about three inches taller than Jayne, and the laws of whatever should’ve been in his favour. Jayne has never been about odds, and besides Jayne’s ma said he had spunk.
She probably didn’t mean that.
That first can of whup-ass was a benchmark for Jayne though, because he has always had to stick up for himself. Jayne doesn't believe in a lot of things, but he knows what's right and wrong, and Scott O’Malley probably works for the Alliance now. He was just the sort of weak-backed, sniveling scum that thrive in those conditions, and he wouldn’t last a week in the Outer Reaches.
He was weak; Jayne is not.
The ‘y’ in his name is proof positive that he’s not. Jayne is a not a girl.
In his first year, his ma made a point of telling the teacher that Jayne wasn’t a Jane. Of course she did it with her mouth and not her fists, but she was a good role model that way; and when Jayne learned how to write his name his dad would stand over his shoulder and clap him on the head every time he forgot the ‘y’ in his name. It kinda hurt, but it was a good learning experience because Jane is a girl -- Jayne is not.
