I somehow found myself reading a critique of one of my stories (no, the point is not what the critique said), that said [Story X] was "a classic [livejournal.com profile] hackthis story."

I have no idea what that means.

The stories I write are the ones I want to see. The ones that I want to write. I've always been firmly of the belief that if you want to see something written you should write it your damn self. But now, I am curious.

What does "a classic [livejournal.com profile] hackthis story" mean to you? Comma abuse? Crack? Lots of cursing? Ari? Discuss.

To me, your 'classic' stories are not necessarily your older works. They are the stories that I didn't even know I wanted to read until I clicked on them and promptly wished they were canon because they were that damn good. These are the fics that I read and re-read. Sometimes cracky but in the 'damn, that's such a cool idea' rather than 'what exactly was she smoking when she wrote this' way. The mafia GK story is a good example of this.
